Well, final nail in the coffin for me using HB. First of all, BL decided to take my 4 keys and call them frauds. And of course no reply when I contacted them directly. So I bought a new one today, as well as a clean WoW account. Fired both up and bam! 15 minutes later I get D/C'd and this in the email....

I got myself a 180 day suspension too but i don't sit saying i never used anything else, i did. I tried EWT(a hack program to fly, teleport, track etc.) and i am 99,99% sure that the cause of my ban is that and NOT HB.

Complete speculation on your side. A factual approach considering recent events, is that they tend to do "banwaves" WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT with the info and flagged accounts they recolect. Just like it happen twice in the past.

If you took the ban section as a reference, you can see waters were pretty calm before that. That obv didn't mean it was safe for our accounts, did it?


Allow me to remark that may or may not think that Hb is detected. What I'm stating is that the information available to us is insufficient to make statements about it.

2 Ban waves recently after YEARS of security and all of a sudden 'the sky is falling @ HB!!!'... get real.

If a 3rd one goes out, I'll start to give these people's opinion some consideration.

But the first wave was due to everyone getting too comfortable, the botters themselves (remember all those videos of bot trains in BGs, and how the community was in legit uproar?) and probably the dev team as well, seeing as how they've avoided detection for so many years. Mistakes were made on BOTH sides, and blizzard was DESPERATE to make a stand on botting due to the TERRIBLE bg situation. So the may banwave happened.

The 2nd banwave, was due to a fatal error on the dev team and tripwire WASN'T EVEN RUNNING, we had LITTLE protection, an easy move for blizz. Given the additional backlash I highly doubt they'll ever make that mistake again.

In short, botting is safe as it ever was currently. I have an bnet account whom character and achievements would probably fetch me 2k+ if I choose to sell, and I'm still using combat rotations and doing light questing on it, because the game isn't worth damn without HB at this point, to me.

IF YOU ARE STILL getting banned after those banwaves, it is SEVERSIDE that's getting you. I have no doubt that blizzard stepped up their server side detection mechanics and once they find out you're a naughty botter (gold farming, selling, mass AH, 18+hrs play a day) they will probably link you and all future accounts to the same banned account, and do manual reviews of your play. IN SHORT, if you're still getting banned, it's completely your own fault.
