In my brief usage of Farmer (great by the way), I noticed that it only moves between pokestops and goes after mons it sees.
There is a spot that I frequent that has only 1 pokestop for a mile or so, but the area within 250m of the stop is always loaded with mons (It's a Target parking lot btw). When I bot the area the bot stays around the stop. Have you considered using FPM scan logic to "find" mons in the area and move towards them?
