An observation that might help if your DB crashes

I noticed that if I keep Google Talk open my DB crashes every few hours, I also noticed that if I let my computer shut down anything (turn the screen off, shut down extra HDD's etc) to conserve power that the program crashes.

I keep Google talk closed and set my power profile to performance and I have had MUCH fewer problems in terms of crashing lately.

I always make sure to maintain full power to everything. No battery saving shit or hardware shutdowns. It's funny you said you keep your google talk closed, because I experience less issues if I simply open my web browser (google chrome) and then minimize it...

It's weird but it works for me haha, I'm sure we all have our little gimmicks.
