Altitude Settings

Hi,

I just started Pokefarmer and put in my Latitude and Longitude - additionally, I googled my Altitude and put in the
Altitude Value IN METERS

Is this correct?
The Pokeball on the map seems to fly over the whole city without stopping or anything - also it's not stopping at Pokestops.

Am I doing something wrong?
