It doesn't matter your gold to time played ratio. If I thought I could make money playing Diablo I would sit here all day doing exactly what my bot is doing and have very little deviation from what the bot does. My theory is, of course, based off of leaving the bot on to calculate my GPH while playing over a 3-4 hour span and running Sark on my own. I was getting LITERALLY the same GPH if not slightly higher (depending on how you look at the bots average runs). I believe the reason for this is the fact I manually kill Sarkoth much much faster than the bot and rarely if ever die/get stuck, and make much better decisions on when and what to loot, sell, repair, stash. So, doing the same thing over and over again and having an absurdly high gold found to time played ratio can in no way be considered grounds for banning an individual. There is nowhere in their TOS that says I cannot have a high gold found to time played ratio. People are getting banned because of third party software, selling gold, and absurdly long time played numbers (ie: 24h/ServerUpTimes).
If they banned an account holder for running Sarkoth they would be setting themselves up for a class action suit. Imagine all the players that farm goblins (act II goblin is still active), bosses (remember before botting and the patch farming "The Butcher"?), named mobs (Sarkoth), and acts; now imagine how many people "farm" for innumerable hours. There are some people who game nonstop as if their life depends on it (had a good friend who had to go to therapy after a year of WoW playing: he'd put in a little over 200 days of in-game time playing WoW in 12 months time [true story, kind of sad]. He was mentally addicted, obviously, but this is a prime example of the hours spent toiling away at a game. And keep in mind, in WoW you might sit and "farm" mats/achievements/bosses/gear/battlegrounds.)
One thing before I wrap it up, because I've monitored thread replies on similar posts; If you're going to rebut my claim, that Blizz would be setting themselves of for a class action suit, think of this. If they were to disable paying customers from playing a game they purchased based purely off of something as ludicrous as the amount of gold you've picked up, and the fact that you'd played the game different then they imagined they would be acting on grounds, in the US at least, that would be prime for such a suit. It would be the same thing as Activision banning (and essentially stealing the purchase price of) buyers of the CoD franchise simply because they had a ridiculously high K/D and/or they were more accurate than others, without definitive proof of their "cheating". Circumstantial evidence is hollow, and would not hold up in a court of law.
Imagine: Blizz -

"we KNOW the user is botting because he only runs Sarkoth." / Player -

"I like running Sarkoth, it gives me joy and I get lots of gold. I've just done it so much I'm fast at it." / Judge -

"There is no difinitive proof the defendant is guilty of said botting activity".
In conclusion, botting Sarkoth or Core is not going to get you banned.
Botting ANYTHING 24/7 WILL EVENTUALLY GET YOU BANNED.
Botting with a bot that is recognizable WILL EVENTUALLY GET YOU BANNED.
Selling gold outside of the rmah (if to a known gold seller) WILL EVENTUALLY GET YOU BANNED.
Botting with a profile that has a very scripted pattern may eventually get you banned (the verdict is still out here).
Running multiple bots on the same PC WILL EVENTUALLY GET YOU BANNED (I don't care what the idiots say, it will. Between myself and my core of botting friends I am the ONLY one to survive since day 1. I run each bot independent of the other bots. All other things considered are identical between myself and others, yet I remain; and furthermore when they get banned they get ALL ACCOUNTS BANNED at the SAME TIME... hmmm seems like Blizz KNOWS you're botting when you have 6 accounts running on 1 machine. So don't come at me saying multiboxing isn't getting you banned, because it is. The proof is in the data.)
I've been working on a plug-in that tries to simulate a more human element. I think it will resolve many of the "I've been banned" problems. If anyone wants to dig into it with me to slow down the users getting banned, feel free to contact me.
