7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: Generally every day but only, 3-4 hours at a time.

8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 100%

9)How many auctions per day did you have?: none

10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? none

11)Was your account involved in gold selling? No

12)EU or US realm? US

13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid account

I appealed the decision for this ban and was denied. I created a new appeal ticket based on the appearance that the first response was automated.

Your World of Warcraft account is currently under a temporary suspension due to a breach of our policies. We have already sent an email with more details but can inform you that the suspension will last for 6 months. You will be able to play again after this time.

The game client may monitor your computer's RAM and/or CPU processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the game.

An unauthorized third party program is defined as any third party software (including Addons) that facilitates cheating; intercepts, mines or collects information from the game database; or allows modifying or hacking of the game interface, environment or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment.

While this response did not give any specific information, it appears they have a way to detect HB use (or at least they did for a short time period).
