All this talk about legendary items dropping from certain IP addresses

is probably crap. but it is interesting nonetheless.
So i've decided to try it out on my bots a few times and see what happens out of curiosity.
Problem is, when i do the netstat -n command, i don't even have any 1119 ports open/connected.
What would this mean?

Yes, im using proxies for my other d3 clients, if that matters.

No it's just complete crap written by people who do not understand random.

the human brain is EXTREMELY good at detecting patterns where none exist. If you did actually want to test this to any degree of accuracy you will need to log thousands of hours before your results start approaching the mean average, even that might be way too short a time. The larger the variance, the longer the runs need to be, and D3 loot is *very* high variance.

Last night I started my bots at 1AM and got only 1 legendary all night, the night before I started at 2AM And got like 10, therefore If you start farming at 2AM you get more legendaries.

This logic is about the same as the people claiming certain IPs are better
 
I believe there may be something behind it, however there is more then what has been said to be tested.
 
last night i took a shower before i went to bed (normally do it in the morning) and I found 10 legendaries. The past few weeks i took shower int he morning and I find at most 1 legendary.

Therefore i must take shower from now on before i go to bed
 
i've had most of my legendarys on .7x servers and 8x

Also If you place your cup from your free coffee exactly 5.75 cm North-west of the poker machine you are playing on and bet 5x for 6 spins then 2x for 8 and repeat that pattern you will get the grand prize jackpot.

There is no such thing as random chance, everything follows laws. I can over rule chaos by setting my Bluetooth to discover-able at exactly 16 seconds past the hour and sit it on the coin slot no later than 18 seconds past the hour. This and any other OCD behavior I choose to exhibit are perfectly rational.

Short version: Input Limit Reached.
Have fun in trying to remaking the game in your attempt to get the correct IP.
 
i vouche that it works, but only if you drop a deuce before connecting.
 
This is wrong.. but theres something that actually works. If there are more than 4 dyes in the room that cost more than 5000 gold(1 of them has to be a gold dye) and there are at least 8 dyes, you will get many legendaries in that room. This has been proven and exploited for very long on asian servers.

I heard about it some time ago and decided to test, first IP I tried was .70 and magically I got 2 legendaries in 5 minutes (shitty ones). Unfortunately this just happened once, so I think it was a big coincidence.
Also it's true that some IPs spawns more elites, events, shrines. I tested it and can confirm that 2-digit even ip has this "characteristic".
That doesn't mean you will get more legendaries, but I really think it has something related to RNG.

One thing is true, every time something about this IP thing is posted in Blizzard forums or Diablo reddit, it's immediately removed.
 
Anyone with the IP 127.0.0.1 will get a legendary.
