Raw mats on my server are at devastatingly low prices. Cinderbloom going for 10g a stack. Pretty much all herbs going at 1/3 normal prices. Anyone else experiencing this?
X-mas break just ended where i live so the kiddies are going back to school! They had inflated the market quite bad but prices on my server are starting to go back up.
pre break elementium ore sold for 90g a stack went down to about 30g and is up to 70g today, the herbs on my server have gone back to about what they were right after 4.3
@wowsoap i wouldn't necessarily say there are more botters, at least not enough to change the market as much as it did, the're just more moving to honorbuddy and are useing the more popular public farming profiles creating trains and hurting your nodes/hour
The break would normally drive mats up because ppl are playing more and needing more mats. Also, it has nothing to do with the amount of botters either. There wasn't a massive influx all of a sudden...and you can't say its b/c of a migration to HB, b/c pirox gathered mats pretty well too.
Mats are at a low b/c of SWTOR. Hence alot of guilds aren't raiding and don't need the mats. Give it a few more weeks and ppl will trickle back in.
SWTOR came out 2 months ago and that's when everyone left wow (and came back shortly after). Also people cant farm as much when there not home, unless there one of us cool kids.
Lazy people just sell raw mats (unless the market is in your favor). Since you have a bot, you can process mats without much effort. Just sell things people need, that's how you make gold.
What does a beta key have to do with the actual release? Everything was reset and ppl are playing it right now as their primary game. People played the beta just to try it out, they didn't play it full time b/c any progress they made was wiped away.
I'm saying most people were able to play the Beta 2 months ago. The original point proposed was that people left wow for SWTOR. Hence, most people were able to leave wow for SWTOR two months ago.

but i'm saying the effect wasn't all that bad b/c they were playing for nothing since any progress made in beta was just reset. the low numbers of ppl on and lack of ah sales are due to them migrating to swtor as their primary game for the time being.
I doubt SWTOR is effecting your server. As few as 1 or 2 new botters or really dedicated farmers can really change the value in AH prices.
But the biggest thing is herbs aren't really used in bulk. People aren't milling endless supplies of whiptail to make darkmoon cards because they're so outdated. Tsunami was outdated with Firelands and for the couple of classes that revered Volcano, it's definitely outdated with new 390+ trinkets. In addition, flasks don't really take that many herbs to make, especially with big cauldrons being more efficient than flasks alone. Potions are the same deal... 4 stacks each of two herbs is enough for a few weeks of raiding.
never left topic...but i guess it depends on server. on mine it's because of SWTOR. I'm in the largest guild on my server and its vacant b/c of SWTOR. in the end, guess it doesn't matter though...if it isn't selling, it isn't selling. :/
Botters are same population before 2-3 month, maybe a litlle bit low. Damn what you want? all herbs have nice price so more gold-> more flood china servece with gold. And other f*** exploits with epic gems... Tell me how ono person can sell 20stack of epic red gems?? HOW? its imposible for realm... what talk about ONE person... again flood services with gold...
