After 2 years. Banned! ;)

So last night I was actually playing (without botting) when all of a sudden BOOM... Perma-Banned. I was dumb and was botting on my main account (vanilla collectors edition....tons of memories blah blah blah). I was pretty upset I mean who wouldn't be, but I always told myself..."If I get banned I'll just finally quit!" Well, that's all fun but that's not how I felt after my WoW life was cut short. For those who want to know What I was doing...The past couple weeks I have been Using Gatherbuddy and farming massive amounts of Herbs/Ore and CoDing them in bulk to people. Making 130k in about a weeks time. Now My advice to some of you is I asked the GM why i was banned and he explained that I had farmed over 4000 Nodes in a very short amount of time and that looked very bottish. So a lot of people are probably going to say, "Yup you are a retard and botted stupid sucks to be you!" but I just wanted to share that they aren't just tracking AH and time spent in an area...they are tracking your actual farmed Nodes. I Appealed last night and this morning got a reduced sentence to a 72 hour ban. *wipes tears from face* It's like seeing your baby brought back to life through CPR. I will bot in the future...Will probably get a separate account for that though.

Now I only have one question for people who have more experience being banned than I do. Like I said I have been botting for 2 years and this is my first ban. I used to play/bot (Gatherbuddy) on a Low-Med Population Realm and never ran into any trouble. However, recently I transferred and just started botting on this extremely High populated server. In less than a month of using gatherbuddy I was banned on this server. Has anyone else noticed if it seems to be easier to be spotted on a high populated server...I'm not talking about player reports but actual GMs/Warden noticing you. Is it better to use Honorbuddy on low/med population or does it just not matter?

well you got lucky if it was downgraded to a 72 hour ban, you should never use GB2 on main account imo, what I do is use another account under the same mail

bottet 3 years on mainacc ... someday i got banned for post 500 posts in AH.
wrote a mimimimimi mail to blizzard and got a 72h ban.

just use tyrael + cc and some rare times gb2 to farm 1 hour

How do you know its not player reports that triggered the investigation? I use AvoidPlayers to make sure that I won't be swooping down next to someone. I also use Gatherbuddy Helper and Mobile Farmer to reduce downtime and minimize the amount of mails I send (something I suspect can cause a trigger). And as already mentioned: never gatherbot on your main account, you will lose it sooner or later.

Its been already confirmed, that the main autoban reason for GB2 is just the plain use of it for more than several hours daily, ofc the reports add to the autoban criterias too, but still, tons of players have been banned even without being spot by anymore.

What does that mean? I understand GB and GB2 is broken now. However the way you phrased it seems like no one should be using Honor Buddy!

I had been using gatherbuddy in the morning on my main account, However it was 12 hours later and I was questing on a 2nd account (with HB) when I received the ban on my main account for gathering too many herbs/ores in a short amount of time. Scared the piss out of me =D...If you bot on another account will they ban all accounts using that email or IP?

I don't know that, but I am curious to see if anybody has found it safer/easier to bot on low/med population servers rather than High pop. I thought it would be easier to blend into the masses on a high population server...I'm not so sure about that now. Again. I am just curious if anyone else has noticed a difference.
