AFK level 1-85...

Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask.

I purchased HonorBuddy as I have very little time to be monitoring the computer, playing wow, watching the bot.

If you want to AFK level, is it best for to just use grinding profiles if you can't be monitoring the bot all the time? I don't care about speed of leveling, just as long as I don't have to be monitoring and fixing the bot once every 2 levels (which is what I am experiencing with questing.)

Grinding is almost 100% AFK--an occasional perma-stuck or evading mob is your only real problem. Its also your highest risk of being banned (from Bliz server-side detection).

Questing is only about 80-90% AFK. It is considerably lower risk of being banned, unless you get stuck on an evading mob, or scenery decoration.

PvP is also a mixed bag. Those guys take their game waaay too seriously. Chance of being banned in AFK PvP is pretty high--probably ties with Grinding.


Its all about what risk you're willing to assume. NO bot is riskless click-and-forget about it. You may need to do some experimenting and decide where your banning risk level lies. The forum is a wealth of information about other people's experiences in these areas.

A few question. What do you mean Bliz server-size detection? How does questing decrease chance of ban compared to grinding? (Is it just because you arn't in one spot for hours?) And also can you recommened a few questing profiles?

• Horde, Vlad's and The Azenius Project seem to be very popular. I've had good experience with Benkoren's and Eddie4's profiles, but don't believe they are being maintained any more. (Not really a Hordie, so welcome other's chiming in.)

I agree with CJ. Kick's ally profiles are spot on. The profiles themselves are generally 100% afkable. However, there are issues that make it so that questing itself is generally *not* 100% afkable and require some baby sitting. For Horde, the Azenius project is the one I've been using lately. Kick has also done some good work in bringing the Liferose, Tubajedi, Raphus 1-68 Horde quest profile back to life.

I've downloaded Kick's alliance but all I can find is the Horde. I open up the folder then open 1-85 Questing Profiles and all I see is the Horde questing profile.

How do I get the alliance one?

How do I get the alliance one?

Kick's profiles are maintained through a Subversion (SVN) distribution. This makes it very easy for both him and the Community to update profiles rapidly when bugs are found. The location of the SVN is available in any of his profile posts.

If you've never used SVN before, its very easy, and JVidia as made a wonderful 5min Video Tutorial on how to get started and hooked in.

Once you get SVN setup to pull Kick's SVN Trunk. ALL of the quest profiles he provides will be located there--Horde, Alliance, Seasonal, Reputation, Professions, etc.
