I've recently starting having issues.

What I thought was windows powersaver settings (idle causing lan adapters to sleep) did not solve the problems. Not only do I have the power settings to maximum performance, I have also explicitly denied windows the ability to disable my wired and wireless lan adapters through device manager and through my Access Points control panel.

Still the problem persists.

There are no issues if I am using the computer, it is only when I am AFK.

I am going to check bios now and see if there are power saver settings there, if so i will disable them.

I have found, however, a link from 2013 https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/plugins/requests/133118-request-anti-os-idle.html

here, in the final post a user said forground windows will not dc and instances running in the background do. perhaps Diablo was patched with similar anti afk mechanisms?

one of my friends has been botting D3 for years now and has only recently experiencing the same issues during AFK botting

some resoures:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6302185/how-to-prevent-windows-from-entering-idle-state

This zip includes an executable that will detect your idle timers and reset them View attachment ImWorkin.zip
this zip includes an executable that will move your mouse 1 pixel from left to right peridically to prevent idle View attachment NoSleep_0.zip
(both sourced here : http://www.symantec.com/connect/downloads/readynosleepexe-prevents-screensaver-and-pc-locking )

I have not attempted to use these apps yet nor am i associated with their creation. source code is included but use at your own risk

I tried those two programs. one worked and was able to bot while afk for a very long time, i tried the other and was disconnected; i then again tried the previous application and it did not work the second time around. =(

this long is from the very last attempt to bot while afk with "ImWorkin" running

that was a D3 dc it seems

Kaspersky.

I noticed when using YAR in an attempt to get around the problem, that it no longer disconnects; yar does not need to relaunch D3 or DB, it simply stays botting indefinitely.

So, upon using YAR to initiate a second session, I noticed that it starts D3 directly without the Battle.net Launcher; I went ahead and attempted to start DIII.exe manually and it caused the Battle.net Launcher to... launch.

So I tested the bot and sure enough it DC's when using the Battle.net Launcher and not when it is somehow bypassed with YAR.

The Battle.net Launcher is bad

I found this on reddit:

Code:
Go to D3 installation folder.

Make a shortcut of Diablo III.exe (not the launcher) on desktop.

Right click the new shortcut->Properties-> Target -> type at the end of the path -launch. It should look like this: "E:\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch

and so, D3 launches without the bnet launcher and all is well.. though I'm still using YAR </thread>

disable/dont use any 3rd party DB stuff and let me know if it works

yes, disabling battle.net launcher solves the problem even when not using YAR
