Is the only way we could get caught botting is by being afk or being reported by another player?

1. reporting by *one-paranoid guy*, even you doing progress by hands (bot? what is it)
2. someone asking smthg, while you afk botting, then report their suspicion to GMs.
3. being detected by server-side guard programm (like warden in wow), which could be randomly updated and ready to detect newest version of 3rdParty atm.
4. ????

Some hints to avoid detection

  • Do not bot for more than 6-7 hours per day including breaks.
  • Use breaks to immitate your normal playing style.
  • Do not bot in crowded areas.
  • Change your routes frequently.
  • Mix PVP, Grinding, Harvesting
  • Do not bot the same skill for days in a row without training a different skill.
  • Do not tell anyone you don't trust that you are botting.
  • Before you turn the bot off for a break, visit the city, do a common "Unbotted" skill, and chat to your friends.
  • If botting for huge amounts of time, dont forget a "Human-Sleep-Break" of 8 hours.
  • Communicate often.
  • Don't bot naked (without any gear on). This is often a common signature player mods look for and investigate.
  • Watch the Forums for spooky Threads.
  • If you can, only bot on one account at a time.
  • Use common sense.

... but in the Rytomate-Case, the stuff has no proof in the moment (or they didnt communicate it) that their is no software-detection in Ryft. In that case you can do what you want - till the next banwave in a few weeks.
