Advice on getting Perm. ban reduced to 72Hr?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has advice on getting a Perm. ban reduced to a 72HR ban?
My questions are:
During my appeal do I use the "I was hacked" tactic, and deny everything saying it wasn't me?
During my appeal do I admit to botting and just tell them I am extremely sorry?
What are the right and wrong things to do? (If there are solid right and wrongs)

Any advice would be very much appreciated!
