Advice for someone who never PvPs that wants to start

Hey gang --

I've never really done any sort of PvP, but I'm interested in starting now. I'm going to be using my Blood DK. Currently she's equipped with the full Vicious Pyrium set and two PcP rings that I crafted for myself. My resil is at 1788 and I'm missing a neck and cloak item for PvP. I was toying around with HB and a PvP blood DK CC I found. It was pretty amazing watching myself stay alive for so long and actually get more than one kill per BG.

My question, however, is that if a pro PvP player could help me out with some information I would be asking for the best Blood DK CC meant for PvP, which bot base, and other such things to use. I'd be buying PvP gear once I get honor for it, but since it's going to be rough since I'm alliance (we all know that ally has a winning BG deficiency on most servers) I'd just like some information.

Armor, enchants, gems, bot base, blood dk cc, best bg to play and win honor on, etc. Basically hook me up with the best possible setup for honor.

I personally use Lazy Raider with a modified Singular CC for Blood DK, Combat Bot if you just want to mount up and move around yourself and let the CC do the manual movement in combat.
Otherwise for AFK grinding its down to pvp or BG bot, BG Bot 2 is hopefully due soon but freaks out on certain BG's in its current state but then pvp bot can do equally retarded things to... personally I'm only playing with Lazy Raider to do rotations as I don't like the way pvp/BG bot are atm.

Full ilvl 377 pvp gear and some enchants/strength gems, reforged for mastery.

Personally I don't really give much of a crap about going mental on gear for RBG's but I just need something fairly good to farm Honor/Conquest for the good gear to get into Arenas.

I use Best Choices for Patch 4.3 of World of Warcraft - WoW Popular - Filter by All also to get a feel for the class i bot and pvp with also.
Think its a nice site to get some basic info on most classes and playstyles.

Mr. Robot is your friend (http://www.askmrrobot.com). Load up your character (pulled from the armory), change the gearing strategy (drop down in the middle) from PvE, to PvP and you're golden. You can play with some of the weights if you want, but I find it to be fantastic as it is. You can look at your current gear, and hit optimize. It will tell you what enchants, reforging and gemming to do. It will also tell you what BiS (Best in Slot) is for your current strategy. I know you asked about PvP, but it's also fantastic for PvE as well.

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of. So many people say that PvP/BGBot are really easy to detect, and that's not something I'm looking for. I suppose I'll just hang around and use LazyRaider/CombatBot. I downloaded a Blood DK PvP CC called Bloody Mess. It works really nicely, but it doesn't do the movement you're talking about that Singular does. Is there some way that you can post up or give me your modified Blood portion from Singular? If not, it's ok. I'll stick to Bloody Mess.

I'll admit that I've not tested Bloody Mess yet, the modified Singular CC I use is by Clu.

Well protip for starters - if you're looking to get into arena, you won't get anywhere with blood (even with latest buff). Spec frost or unholy, I'd suggest starting with frost, most people find it substantially easier.
RBG's, the same thing, unless youre aiming to be the flag carrier (which means you'll need to go get some tank PvE gear most likely, dependant upon your rbg leader.

PS. I botted my friends DK from 0 honor to fully PvP geared in about two days, just used BG bot non stop and had no problems, not sure what the fuss is about, if you find a good CC it's not obvious at all

+1 to Dylancrow's comments.

Just use BG Bot (Beta), use EZFrost from the DK forum and let it run overnight for a couple nights and you'll be in full ruthless. Use Mr. HonorCap plugin to buy your gear so you don't fill up and waste honor.

Once you get the gear, read up on ArenaJunkies for tips and try out Noxxic for some good insight on reforging, gemming, enchants, etc.
