Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behaviour is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Any recurring subscriptions on this account have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://eu.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. You hit an automatic ban. Appeal, and you'll get your account back.
In my experience, if you stay more than 12 hours gathering mats, and deal with more than 100 stacks per day, you'll trigger this kind of bans. Happened to me once. Now i farm overnight (10 hours) and gather around 100 stacks per day... And i've been fine for months.
The problem is that 100 stacks per day might not be enough in this economy, but more than 100 stacks is dangerous.

I play in a low populated server by the way. Every day there are 10 people in uldum. in 1 hour i farm 10 stacks or more. I contacted them and they told me it was an automated ban and they sent a ticket to the team that is responsible and i have to wait. The guy told me he wasnt able to do anything else

I contacted them and they changed the ban to 72 hours. They didnt telll me the reason. But it wasnt for boting for sure. They told me "as i can see you havent used a bot".
I asked them if they can remove it, since its unfair. I didnt try to sell gold for rlmoney

Automatic ban, I got one when I was sending over mats from my other account to my first account, they apologized and removed the ban when I appealed.

My account will be unlocked on friday thank god!. I am gonna open a second account now for doing my botting. Should i rename the "honorbuddy.exe" to something else? So it doesnt look suspicious on the process tree

No Blizzard doesnt scan your processes, that would seem pretty illegal lol. No need to change your hb.exe to anything.

blizzard can not scan your processes or anything like that on your computer, and someone before made me lol when they said "I think warden can view your website history" that made me lol but no it is a violation of personal rights if that gives you some form of security towards it =)

piece from http://eu.battle.net/account/legal/anticheating.html

In an effort to combat the efforts of those individuals who are willing
to violate the EULA and/or the TOU, Blizzard Entertainment utilizes an "anti-cheating"
utility that runs as part of World of Warcraft. This "anti cheating" utility performs
limited scans of:

(i) the Random Access Memory ("RAM") that is occupied by the World of Warcraft program
to confirm that the World of Warcraft program has not been altered or "hacked" in violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use;

(ii) the World of Warcraft 'process' to determine if any unauthorized third party programs or
computer code has been attached to the World of Warcraft process; and

(iii) the Windows Process List to determine if any confirmed hacking or cheating programs are
presently open in violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use.

In the event that World of Warcraft detects an unauthorized third party program,
Blizzard may in its sole determination:

(a) Communicate information back to Blizzard Entertainment, including without limitation
your account name, details about the unauthorized third party program(s) detected,
and the time and date the unauthorized third party program was detected; and/or

(b) exercise any or all of its rights under the TOU, with or without prior notice to you.

it says u r involved in a transaction that you sell items or gold for in real money. Obviously u sold gold or u bought gold from a farming company most probably chineese.
That is why you got banned. Do not forget when u sell or buy gold from such flagged accounts, ur account is also flagged and they keep an eye on ur actions,

If you dont want to lose ur account. Also keep an eye on ur friends who know u r botting. Cause some ppl might get jealous of you and they might report u as a "gold seller", they check ur actions and u sell a lot of material u earn a lot of gold and transferring it, BAM u r banned.

1 of the many limitations, this is what i meant by it can not scan your web history, it is still limited to the wow system... but i do know what you mean and have read that site. either way i know about the ram scans lol you don't have to show off ^^ we all read the tos or most of us anyways I admit i could of worded what i said differently but none the less yes i have read it

no one is trying to show off ^^

this is not a finger pointed at you, more at those who laughed theyre ass off in the last few
days when i posted that blizzard can and will do the above if they want to and no one stops em.

And the above is not limited to the wow system, windows running processes has nothing to do with
the so called wow area and is only there to determine if you are running a cheat program next to wow.

so yer, they do.

EULA is nice and all but you're forgetting that it doesn't mean Blizz can break the law.
Anything they scan outside of WoW memory space is breaking the law and they removed that option about 378 years ago.

Sounds like its time to rename hb.exe to notepad. Lol. Or, run your bot on a 2nd pc, jump to main pc and pull over your botted items. I wonder... every week i JC/DE 10,000 ore... trade it manualy, i wonder how long before im banned...

my honorbuddy.exe is renamed since first time i used it, but they can probably see not just name of the procces (exe) but description of exe which is still Honorbuddy and cant be manually renamed.Just look at your taskmanager in procces tab

I'm pretty certain they don't check the process list like that. I think they got challenged on it some time ago and were prevented from doing it anymore but don't quote me on that. In any case, I've also changed the description of the exe in the process list to match the name of the exe I changed.

For those saying it can't be done, it can. I'm busy working on something at the moment but I'll post up how in due course if anyone's interested.

Webhond....thats nice :) HB has been out for years, why havent they changed the name and description if bliztard can scan your processes. Honorbuddy wouldn't be like " hey guys we going to give you something that blizzard can track" If it is such a issue they would of told us to change the exe and description ages ago. ??Tony??
