Hey guys I was going to start up another account soon and just transfer a character from my main account to the new one. I was wondering if one account gets banned will both? Or only will happen with ip ban. Also may be stupid question but is there a way to RAF with two accounts on same b.net. Last question. Would it e smarter to just make a all new account and level it 1-85

From what i read from other people's experience, blizzard bans on a case by case basis.
Like, if you have 10 accounts on the same bnet, 9 of them run bots + speed hacks and one is legit, Only the ones botting will get banned.
Though, Sometimes they do investigations and might check any related accounts to the one in question (the account is associated with goldfarming account(s) crap).

As for the RAF questions, Of course you can't.
RAF = Recruit A Friend.
You can't recruit yourself (the recruitment applies to e-mail address , not characters name)

As for the last question, it depends.

If the account you're transferring from is your main, and you already bot on it, then it won't really matter.
If the account is your main, and you'd like to keep it clean from bot usage , then yeah.. a new account would be best.

And you get to save the transfer fee as well as avoid any links between accounts if you use the same credit card for all your payments.

Actually, yes you can recruit yourself. Simply enter your own b.net account e-mail into the "friend's e-mail address" field on the RAF page. All that happens is that you link another account to your b.net account so when you log in it lets you chose a wow account to log into. I know this because I've done it before. If you're not worried about being banned on your main account then I would RAF off of it and start leveling away; it's cheaper than transferring a character.

My question is why would you want to RAF using the same b.net (unless you're trying to use BOAs)? Definitely seems more secure to create a new b.net, recruit it, and start leveling from there. Cheaper than transferring, safer than having 2 botting accounts on 1 b.net.

As Ganz said, do two different Bnet accounts, but I would use the same last name on both accounts. This will allow you to still transfer toons between accounts if you like at a later date. Also, so long as you do not use the bot on your main account there should be no reason for you to get banned on your main, even if leveling in a group along with a bot. I use my bots all the time while grouped with my main account toons to farm rep and I now use the bots grouped with my main to run dungeons. I have never had a problem at all. I have also transferred several botted toons over to my main over the past year or so without any issue.

Well that's new to me =o
I thought it wouldn't be possible because it's supposed to be about recruiting a friend AND because it's against ToS to share your account.

Oh well.. Learn a new thing everyday =)

Ty for all the helpful reply's guys i appreciated it. Just to recap make a new b.net with differnt email address but my name and everything. I wont transfer a character to the account because i was only going to do it for boa reasons
