Account safety

Hey guys, I just spent my evening reading through ~100 pages of people going back and forth on account safety, people saying what to do, and what not to do, then other people saying the opposite. I think most of it is speculation, but I always refer back to Tony's post 5 years ago: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honor...-reports/104-guide-account-safe-anti-ban.html and mspazz's post 4 years ago: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honor...n-reports/26380-guide-avoiding-banhammer.html. I usually do not see higher ups from honorbuddy usually responding to these messages though. I am thinking, since we trust them to update their software and develop all these things that keep us as safe as possible, and they have, that we should see a 2015 version of how not to get banned. Maybe include sections on V P Ns, VMs, x64 vs x32, ip bans, same mac address/computer etc. All of the theories.

I am not trying to start controversy with this post because I do not want to read back and forth arguments, but I think the team knows more than we do and they could help us out with that. I have been using honorbuddy and I put all my trust in the team and I cannot wait for the future of botting, but I think there are a lot of unanswered questions.

P.S I know blizzard is most likely on these forums and I am not sure if they would alter their ways of catching bots off one fourm post, because the 2 that I linked above are about methods of not getting caught, but those posts are not that technical.

I could be totally wrong and even gain some hate but I am just throwing an idea out there.

Thanks guys!

V P Ns
Try avoiding these most of the Providers/Ip's are flagged and gonna lead to an Inspection which are not very good for us botters ..

VMs
I am avoiding these because it is in my eyes useless it eats too much memory .. Vms are also easy to detect cuz of some drivers that only vms use.
They are only good if you have an very very strong rig that can run 15-20 Instances of the Game.

x64 vs x32
I don't see any sense on this i am using an 64Bit Notebook and PC to Bot on the 32 Bit WoW Client

Ip Bans
I think they are existing but only in some cases when you are bigger , never heard of some1 that got ip baned using 1-3 Accounts.

same mac address/computer

I think they are loging how much clients are being used from one mac-address. I only would change it after a Ban to avoid an flag on the new account , i would also suggest you to reinstall world of warcraft because every installed game has a ID that Blizzard can flag to find the Botters with a new Account/IP/MAC or even when you copied the client to an other PC or an VM.

I suggest you to avoid Dungeonbuddy,BGBuddy/Farmer, and Garrisonbotting.

Questing seems to be safer if you only level up some toons (each toon gives around 10-15k Gold)

Again, this all seems like speculation because no honorbuddy dev/any proof has been said about these topics. I was reading a post about some people who got a large number of accounts start to get either IP/MAC banned. It would be nice if there was a compiled step-by-step process that they could do within reason. Take other actions that make them seem like they are botting fresh besides buying a new comp/switching ISP which is kind of a pain for most people.

EDIT: I was reading a post about how to change your MAC address on windows and it seems really simple. I want to do more research on how easily it would be to get a cheap modem for botting only, and make it easily replacable, maybe split from the ISP you are already paying for?
