Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

2)If so, when was the last time?: 5 hours ago
3)What profile were you using?: Tiny Emerald Whelp in the Complete Whelp Farm Pack by Synik.
4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:

I was farming for a Tiny Emerald Whelp and got a permanent account closure.

Any recommendations on what I should do? Shoud I just call blizz and tell them I was farming for a pet when I was banned?

you can try and fight it, but the best thing to do is move on.
 
Fight it, they prolly looked and saw your grinding mobs, so you can easily say you were grinding for the pet, a very easy win imop.

basically ask them why they have banned you for killing a lot of the same mobiles for a pet they implemented with a 0.1% drop rate. What to they expect???

Were you watching the bot?
it could be a report from a player.
 
IMOP grinding the same mob over abd over again useing your I.WIN macro rotation looks about as bottish as you can get.
 
Just found the Mobs to Kill Drop Rate Probability Calculater (took me a while as its a book mark on a different computer) - http://ah-web.at/mobs.php

Run that with the Whelplings Drop rate ie 0.15% for ammunition about getting your bot back.

EG - Droprate 0.15%
Desired Chance for Drop - 75%

You would get the following information - You need to kill 923.5 mobs to have a 75% chance for this droprate (0.15%)!
 
imo this is the most dangerous pet farm. The emerald whelp has such few mobs around that tiny pound. A lot of people hand farm the pets and this one really seems to piss people off when it is farmed by multiple people because you have to wait for respawns. I have gotten this pet a couple of times and vowed not to go back because there is a lot of action on it. I would semi-afk it and log when other players arrived. I would guarantee this was a player report.

Handplayers are changing in response to cata and the crap prices for normal farmed mats. I have seen an increase on most of the pet/rep profiles.
 
It dosent hurt to try and fight it, I got banned during the Glider banwave 2 years ago and fought it but it didn't do any good. The funniest thing happened a couple weeks ago one of my accounts was hacked and banned. I called blizzard and explained it then complained that this must be what happened to my origonal account. They reinvestigated it and reopened both accounts so if i were you I would play dumb and tell them you have not been on that account for sometime and when you went to get back on it the password was changed and it was closed so you must have been hacked. Being hacked is about the only way I have seen Blizzard overturn these. I still can't believe they gave me back my origonal account that was banned two years ago...lol.
 
play dumb,, it always works, when i got banned on my main, i sayed i was out for a week, and my brother saw me type my password and i forgot to take my authenticator with me and i got it unbanned. i got banned off botting off my ip so it worked

How did you do it? Did you plead the case about grinding for the pet?
 
usually i got third program automation (bot) email, but this time i got the same email like you but i didn't use any hacks i was wondering what did you told them that got you unbanned?
 
I got banned for the same thing yesterday, what did you tell them to get yourself unbanned?

2)If so, when was the last time?: was in middle of use... had stopped HB so I could use FP back from IF (leveled up and it went and bought training from Priest Trainer - noted it buys them all in one lump sum... not good idea... should buy new talents individually) to grind location rather than let it run for next 20 minutes back. Had just arrived at FP, started HB. It turned in quest, accepted new, and was on its way to grind location.
3)What profile were you using?: Dwarf-Gnome 1-60 QuestOrder.xml
4)What combat class were you using? Khryptor v1.12
5)What plugins are you using?: AutoEquip(latest)
6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: typically 8-10 on weekends, today only 2 hours (never afk, and interrupt program occasionally to perform actions of my own such as custom AH or custom questing not included in profile)
7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 15-30

Sent letter of plea for account reactivation - stated I had recently added an addon to help with Talent Tree Management. I have been using WoW since Classic release. Hope it goes well... all my accounts were linked together through Battlenet and thus all my accounts are now Banned. No more WoW for me if they don't have mercy on me.

::Update::
Well, I got the official word from Blizzard - my account of 5 years was banned permanently. Ugg.... [heartbreak sets in... I knew better than to bot on an account that could be attached to my main, but thought a few levels wouldn't hurt... that's what I get for "thinking"]

I was banned last week, and my friend just got banned today. Badtimes
 
i bet if you called them instead of emailing you would get your account back.. yea you'll have to wait on the phone for an hour in 20-30 mins.. but ive gotten my accounts back by doing that..
