Greetings,

This is to inform you that action has been taken against your account. Please read on for further information about the action taken, and more details regarding the reason:

Account Action: Suspension (72 Hours, Final Warning)

Circumventing normal game mechanics has a negative impact on the game experience of other customers.

Type of Violation: Exploitation
Category of Violation: Third Party Program
Character Name Involved: ***

While we regret to take this type of action, we have determined it to be in the best interests of the World of Warcraft community as a whole, and for the integrity of the game.
Please note that should any further violations of our Rules and Policies occur, this incident will be taken into consideration when determining the consequences for your account. This could include further warnings, account suspension or account termination.
Also note, you must log into the game after the suspension has expired to update the status of the account shown on your Account Management page.

I normal never farm in cata zones. But at night i went to twilight highlands and 10 hours later i got mail whit this. Should i appeal this or let it stay banned for 72 hours?

-How long do i need to wait so i can bot again in lower populated zones?

Did you have the randomize hotspots function enabled?
In addition, botting in cata zones for ores and herbs is really one of the most risky things. The prices are so low that only people who need it for their profession (ores for their character) don't bot. No one would farm ores for 25gold/stack without botting. Because of that, 90% of the farmers in uldumd/twilight highlands are bots. I think those are the only places where blizzard bans without waiting for reports of other players. Will open a thread concerning this fact soon anyway.

[72 Hour Suspension]
Suspensions are typically received due to you triggering some of Blizzard's safeguards and receiving an automated suspension, not by actual observation of your actions.

Many people say to appeal these suspensions, I however feel you are much better riding it out. With the understanding that you've done something against the rules, and have been lucky enough to avoid a permanent ban. You do not want to start an appeal, only to have them investigate further and give you a permanent ban. Typically these suspensions run their 72 hour course and go away properly. Sometimes however you will still receive messages informing you that you have been suspended, without any timeframe given. Only then should you contact Blizzard.

Not sure if i should appeal after i read this :p

still say this, once again:

You get reported by player reports, blizz prolly auto bans then on a script when x y z is met.

Not appealing a ban, will tell them, ok i know what i did, ill sit it out...

Still you want to continue playing, without a "warning " or "flagged" account, so appeal it, or next time

you get caught, you wont be so lucky no more and might even get a perma since you kinda "told em"

you did something wrong at first when they banned you.

Loads will disagree with this, sitting it out, can get your account flagged, wich will result in more severe punishment

next time, appealing it, can result in more thourough investigation, wich i highly doubt they will, since it costs money and time.

Either way, i think, both are not good, but still, appealing is better imo

I have always appealed 72 hour suspensions (although I've only gotten a few) for the reason listed above: if you don't appeal, you are tacitly agreeing that you did something wrong and that you accept the punishment. Others will tell you that if you appeal they will do a more thorough investigation and possibly ban your account, although I have never read an account of where this actually happened to anyone. However I have read many posts about having a suspension lifted with an apology because the person protested the suspension.

Honestly we are all shooting in the dark since we do not work for Blizzard, so it's up to you to decide which approach makes more sense.
