1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Honor Buddy

2)If so, when was the last time?: Monday night, started at 5pm, went to class, was banned when io got home at 10:30pm

3)What profile were you using?: Uldum Coast - Flying Mount v2.1.xml fishing profile

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Fpsware Rogue

5)What plugins are you using?: AutoAngler2

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: possibly 8

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? about 75%, I bought while i work on home work and chat in guild.

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: zero, I dont bot to make gold, just achieves and supplys for my guilds raid team

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? none.

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? never.

10)EU or US realm? US

I started the profile around 5pm before I left for class and when I got home at 10:30pm the account was closed. I do not use the bot to farm things to put on the auction house or to sell mats to private buyers. I also have never sold gold to websites. Pretty much I use it as a quality of life thing, take care of all the boring monotonous stuff like fishing, mindless rep grinding, archeology etc.

I have put in one petition last night, claiming innocence and complete denial, and got an email this morning saying that the closer would not be reversed. I do not want to give up on my account, and it has never been closed before.

Any tips/strategies to get it reopened? Maybe a second petition admitting guilt and explaining that I never abused the AH or sold gold/items to online sites?

No, do NOT admit guilt, ever, under any circumstances. If you admit to using a bot, the account will NEVER get reopened, end of story.

Getting your account back isn't a sure thing, especially if a GM whispered you. Were you using something to keep you informed on chat, such as BuddyCenter?
 
lol that sucks dick man.

If you only fished and never sold gold i would ring them up and go ape shit down the phone and reek havoc with as many people in the call center as possible and they should un ban your acc, tbh i dont think the people in the call centre give a shit they are not gm's they just get a standard wage and minimal training :P
 
Your best bet is to CALL Blizzard and just act like "I dunno why I can't log in?" NEVER NEVER NEVER use the word bot or botting, just play dumb and say "I try to log in and it won't let me! What is wrong?"
 
talked to a phone rep, said i needed to print out and fill out an account recover form and include a scanned copy of my drivers license to recover my account. hopefully this works out, only time will tell. honestly after this i dont think i will be botting on my main account any longer
 
I feel like this isn't the real story here. The only time I've had an account closed was back when I'd sell to china. I was recently busted on the previous account that had been closed for selling to china (but I got it reversed) and all i got was a 72 hour suspension. In addition, 5 hours a day of anything is more than just personal use. In 5-6 hours, I can fill all my bags with just about anything Im gathering.
 
no reason to lie to the people here, its not like you are the ones that banned me. 5hours a day farming herbs for guild cauldrons and pots, fishing for feasts, archeology, just finished ravenholdt rep pickpocketing, steamwheedle rep killing pirates, etc. i do use bg buddy, but only when i can supervise it while doing school work or console gaming

and the time is just an estimate. days i dont have school i may bot for 12 hours, others i might not bot at all
 
I've been banned in the past for less than HB5475E31 was doing, it all depends on the GM. Good luck with getting the account back.

Once you appeal, it doesnt come down to one GM's decission.

It goes into a special department where 3 or more people review your account and look at the action taken and if they agree that the account should stay banned then they wont over turn it ever again and will just keep sending you automated emails if you put in a ticket.

Next time, just go all out botting and make as much as you can :) its just a matter of time untill you get banned anyway!
 
Sorry to hear about your lost account. Hopefully sometime in the future you'll be able to get them to overturn it...
 
I avoid Uldum like the plague.. GM seem to watch that place like a hawk. I got an account ban from their and I didnt know anything about bots yet. Their letter said violation violation of account terms gold selling-spamming in city trade. How the hell am I gold spamming city chat in Uldum?

Blizz has some GM's thats full of shit and might lie to get a nice shiny star on their work performance by banning anyone that picks up more than a few nodes in a popular farming area.

Yes I know you used a bot but if you went selling it you really shouldnt have got anythng but a 3 day ban.

Fish botting is one of the most easy detectable offences, and they might have looked back in your records and see that you've done it for a long time, so when you were reported for being a mindless zombie fishing for hours straight, you can get a permban for doing that more often.
 
If you get caught for fish botting after only doing it a few times then its a 3 day ban. If you get away with hours and hours and hours and hours of finishing for months then get caught. Its perminent.
