Abuse of economy crap

I botted over a month (uldum <3 ) without any bans about 12 hrs a day, when suddenly I got banned because of "abuse of economy" and they told me that I sell gold, but I have never sold or bought any gold ever. Appealed, got the account back, with ease. I had about 100 or less auctions, and I sell all elementium ore COD.

I put my account behind a virtual computer and a VPN, so if they ban me again I can say that i got hacked. Then after 2 days again the same "abuse of economy" ban. I appealed and got it back again. This time I asked them what causes the ban, and they said that it is my proxys fault, and if I continue using it, I might get banned again.

This all seems very fishy, blaming me for something that I have not done twice, and was the second ban really because of my proxy/VPN?

Just wanted to share info, but I also got one question: The VPN I used was Expat shield that is located in UK, and its free, but how can they know that I'm using it? Is it because it is popular, and if so, would it help to get some private VPN service?

The virtual computer + VPN combo is my dream, but sucks if they know I'm using a VPN :F

They can know you are using it because of the IP number it generates.

1: It is a different IP address than the one you have been using prior. It may look odd to their servers if you are hopping from one country to another when you log in at different times.

2: Its a free public VPN. It is likely being used by other people as well and thus they are able to see all these computers "logging in" from the same place. Lots of these users are likely using the VPN to hide the fact that they are in a different continent (I.E. Asia) and are likely involved in gold selling/farming to sell/or using bots.

Best thing to do is to not put it behind a VPN in the first place. You already successfully appealed. Why would you think that putting it behind a VPN wouldn't seem suspicious if you think they are watching your account now?

Well yea, it was not that smart idea, but I thought it had almost no down side, because it seems that my account genuinely got hacked, and if they notice me of the sudden country change, they wont perma ban me, because simply using VPN is not enough proof of ban. Thats what i thought at least.

So you are saying that if i get private VPN I'm good? Do you have any recommendations? I gotta check that out

Personally, I am not a fan of VPN use at all (I only bot one account and it is my main). Others may be able to point you in the direction of whether a "private" is worth it or not.
