ABUSE OF ECONOMY Bans..

Please sticky this. This will help a lot of people here.

Guys... If you got an email that was not "HACKS" or "Third Party Program" and it was "Abuse of economy" they are very easy to appeal AND WIN. Abuse of economy is USUALLY automated and very easy to over turn. Half the time you dont even need a good appeal and they will give you back your account. On the other hand an email for "HACKS" or "Third Party Program" is not easy at all and you most likely have lost your account. Thats where they actually catch you botting. You probably have a good 75% chance to get back your account if it was Abuse of Economy. Anything else and good luck to you.

it's more like 100% . i've probably had 10 abuse of economy bans reversed after opening a ticket. now if they ban you a SECOND time on same account, that's it, it's gone.

I got an email last night with this aswell. Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy. I put in an appeal and it was denied. Said they reviewed it and stood by their decision. I sent in another appeal and again was denied. Now they are saying any further tickets for this account will be ignored. Such BS

Were you botting? Then it isn't BS. Regardless of what reason they give you, it is irrelevant. They are canned responses, from a drop down choice and they select one. It doesn't matter what the reason is, you were botting, you got caught. Own up to it and buy new account and repeat the process, or quit. Saying it is BS when you clearly broke their rules is pointless.

Nah wasn't botting. I sent 70k from one character to another of my own account and read somewhere they have automated systems that detect high gold transfers and I figured it was maybe that so I sent in 2 appeals. Unfortunately with such a generic answer of Abuse of Economy and the fact that they wont really give details on it I guess I'll never find out the real reason.

I should have stated something in my OP. If you sold gold or transfered a large amount of gold to another account then you will probably NOT get it back. My OP was meant for people that didnt sell any gold or more gold around. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm having a person that specializes in unbans do the unbanning on my main, but it seems that I triggered their automatic ban system after transfering about a full bank of gems to my other character (same account, just a toon w/ empty bank). You think my chances of getting unbanned are good? Anytime I botted I'd supervise it about 95% of the time (dual monitor).

You weren't banned for transferring items from char to another on same account. Legit AH marketeers do that daily with no issues. You got banned because they detected patterns or something else.
