That is because the Auth Buddy servers still think the key is in use. You just have to go to the website and kill the key so you can log in sooner, rather then wait for the server to sync up with your bot.
It would require that BuddyAuth added a feature to "kill a session via a URL", which it does not currently support (and most likely won't ever).
When there's an abnormal error, the only way to kill the auth session is to manually kill it though BuddyAuth as kirdd mentioned. However, there's no way to automatically kill that session once the main program has crashed, unless you stored a url or token to automatically kill it for you.
As a result, users have to kill it manually, and the problem remains unsolved.
