A question about the worst case senario.

Hello sirs.

I was wondering. If I bot on my bnet account, using a new fresh account. Will my other 4 non bot'd accounts be banned, if that ever happens?

Im trying to figure out if i should reroll my new alt, or keep him on my bnet with my mains
 
Worst case ?? no thats not the worst case.

The worst case is they ban by the MAC addy.. then ur really fucked :P

That was kinda contradictory.

Is it not necessary to use a NEW B.NET account?

Is it not necessary to worry about my other accounts?

Will a ban have a global effect on my Battle.net account, or just the account within the Battle.net account?
 
Normally they will just ban the single account you have been botting with unless you are stupid and sell gold on the others and such.

The worst case is they ban by the MAC addy.. then ur really fucked :P

Don't say things like that unless you can prove they do it.
 
I don't think anyone knows for sure.

Some have reported losing one account on a bnet whilst the other accounts on that bnet were fine. Other people have lost all bnet accounts from one botted account.

I personally think that if you want to protect your bnet account(s), create new account NOT on your bnet. This wont guarentee they are safe, as there are othe means to link accounts (ie gold transfers, item transfers etc.) but it means they aren't directly linked. just my opinion though.

I think thats the wisest also. Mainly because my two best friends have their accounts on my bnet, since we live together etc so we also share login ;D

I wouldn't want to put their account(s) in harms way because i wanted to try botting.

Another question; If i buy lifetime or 1 year for Honorbuddy today, will it include HB2 when it's released?

I live in So-Cal and work in Irvine, one of my good buddys used to work as a Senior level GM for Everquest then for WoW until about 6 months ago. Their "unoffical" policy was to only ban single accounts, and if multipul accounts needed to be banned, they would have to esclate it to the top leveled GM's who would then process it, this was a very rare occurance, mainly if mulitpul accounts, 5+ were found being botted on the same IP/MaC/Credit Card/Address. So the chance of getting an entire Bnet account banned is very very rare!

There was a post by bossland saying they can and sometimes do do it..
