A Plugin That Takes Screenshots.

ok, so i had this idea for a plugin that takes screenshots. so for example everytime your bot gets stuck on something, it will take a screenshot, or if you receive a whisper it will take a screenshot and just save it for later viewing. my other idea would be not only to save these images out, but also to be able to e-mail them, so using a service like "If That Then This" https://ifttt.com/ you could have it e-mail it to the service, then automatically, send out tweets, save the image to your dropbox, make blogposts, all sorts of stuff. or just e-mail it to yourself for easy viewing on the go.

let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in.

and if so, what kind of events would you like to see hooked, like OnWhisper, and On Level Gained.
 
On gaining a level/achievement would be cool. Think there is an addon for that. But would still be cool :D
 
I'd say, even better would be a plugin that records your WoW botting session as a video, compressed and possibly in gray scale to further reduce space requirements so that you will know exactly what has happened while you were AFK and in case you get banned or reported, you will know what the accusation is, who the accuser is, what complaints were possibly filed, and what circumstances and events in the game world have led to this.

Will help a lot with writing our "unban me please" letters.
 
Yeah I think this is a good idea and could be added to your mr.tweetbot! Save images to dropbox and tweets them with a brief description would be the perfect monitoring plugin and we could @ the account to reply to the whispers etc

i was thinking, if i got this running what would be cool to do is have it (using ifttt.com) write to a wordpress blog, and every level, post the screenshot of the ding, and give an update to the state of the character, such as, what gear it has, stat changes, running totals. and since its automatic, by the time its level 85, it would be a cool, "WoW look at how far this toon has gone" kind of a thing.

thats why i want to e-mail it out, because not only is it easyer to do, but using a service like "if this then that" you can have it post the tweet, or save the image to your dropbox, or even call you, and that way, i dont have to code the whole backend and it allows a ton of flexibility.

Sounds good, but sounds pretty much like BuddyCenter.

Maybe fixing buddycenter and or adding email/tweet what so ever support would be also a good idea?

im not fixing someone elses project, plus this will have a lot less code, since it only supports e-mail, we are letting a web service handle all the other stuff, so i dont have to write code for tweeting, or write code to call you on your phone. i just let the web service handle it.

How would you send data to wow/hb? for replying to whispers and other events?

then you use vlc to deal with it, no where did i say i was making a bot remote control solution, this is a plugin primarily for notification, and logging of whats going on during the time your character is botting.
 
Communication between WoW and you would be possible.

1. Attach a Mobile phone to your PC.
2. Either on player whisper or a gm whisper, the plugin uses the attached Mobile phone to send an sms with the text to our main Mobile number.
3. We reply back with an SMS and the plugin forwards the text to the person who whispered us in the game world.

We all know bots don't respond to whispers so you can pass for either a stupid player or for someone who lags hard, or maybe you are playing through TeamViewer on another PC, but you will totally not look like a bot.

im not making a plugin that remote controls your bot. i said that like 4 times, that a way to reply is not something im making.
 
CodenameG, I am not talking about remote control, just replies to whispers.
