Hi,
I have only been using HB and GB for a couple of weeks now and have enjoyed talking about it and asking questions to the community here on the forums.
I think that this is the Bot that should dominate the market in the years to come.
I have noticed alot of German translations on the forum and the main website and wondered if French users could be a good new objective. I know myself that the French are heavy bot users, I play on french servers and see a lot of botters, I mean A LOT. I live in france and have lived here for 13 years so I speak English and French at the same level.
If Bossland would want to make a site targeted at the French market and would like translation I could be a big help.
I only make this thread to help the community advance in the right direction because I have not really contributed at all so far.
Merci ;)
Bubble.

this sound interesting, if boss/tony/hawk dont post soon, you may wanna send a PM to bossland. He can probably send you files (and then you convert them to french and send them back, he makes to .pdf)

interesting :)

Thanks for the answer Kickazz006. How long should I wait to send them a PM?
I'm very happy that yiu find this interesting :)

If we are going to make a French support, why not make it for multiple countries then ? France is not the only one who could use the program in their own language... What about Sweden, Norway, Russia, Holland, Denmark ect ect...

Imo everyone knows and understands english, so why alter it ? Takes way to much time to work it out. The time used, could be used to improve it instead...

Just my 2 cents

i dont think he meant the guide. i think he meant an advertisement page.

like gatherbuddy.fr (whatever frances .com is ... like .de is germany) that advertises in their native language the product... and a few guides in their languages

but yes, English is becoming more of a "universal" language i guess

I understand what you mean and agree that time translating guides would be time wasted. As Kickazz006 rightly said, it would more likely be an advertising page to open up a new market for Bossland. I mean Glider had a French page, so do a lot of other bots out there. Imagine this, people reccomend a bot to you, you go to the website and find that it is not made in your birth language. You leave the site and keep searching for a bot. All the people doing this would be great additions to the community.
However if Bossland believes that this time would be wasted then I won't persist in this.
Thank you for your opinion it is welcomed with open arms!

Just gonna quote this " Imagine this, people reccomend a bot to you, you go to the website and find that it is not made in your birth language. You leave the site and keep searching for a bot". How often does this happen? Lets say a Dutch person search the internet for a Bot, and finds Honorbuddy. But then sees that the site and bot are only made in english. How high a chance is there, that he leaves and keep searching?

Why play a English game, when you dont understand English properly. Makes no sence to me. Its like the German for instance, they have so many who dont understand english, so they translate not only TV but also Games :/ Personly i don't know many below the age of 14, who dont understand english.

This text is not to offend anyone at all. But just my screwed vision on it all. :)

But overall, a good idea for those who cant understand the language.

The answer to your question is that it happens a lot, more than you would think. I myself, since Glider went down, searched for a reasonable bot for a while and believe that seeing that a team of devs. made the effort to create something that is accessible to all is very attractive.
The fact that you say that not many people below 14 don't understand English is, in my opinion, totally false.
Part of my education took place in France and I can tell you that most 14 year olds do not understand English and even less people would trust something they hardly understand.
I understand your opinion and get where you're coming from but the idea just isn't valid. I mean how many bot users are there on french servers? I would say a lot, and most are using something they understand with at least a website in their language (not going to name any...).
After taking all that you have said into consideration I still believe this to be a good idea and worth taking into consideration.
Thanks again!

ie:

french page, 2 french guides (easy setups) but any help will have to be either in english, or wait for someone w/ their language reply back...

i mean MOST common problems are fixed by COMMON SENSE. :)

ie: "oh noes, how do i log into GB" ... well maybe the username/pass i paid with??????? hmm... common sense. maybe its the same username/password at the site that i logged in and added the buddy products at???? Maybe i have to spell my name the same, since it doesn't read my mind. maybe i need to have a capital K in Kickazz006 ... Maybe i need to let gb/hb through my firewall(s)/anti spyvirusmalewares and run as admin.

now the auth server is slightly confusing at first, BUT thats what the guide is for. simply find what you want, upload it, get out of site, log into gb, select your options, and BOOM... hit start. not hard

same thing w/ HB except its run off of your HDD. -- download your profile(s) w/ respective meshes... load it, select your options, hit start.

anything after that is "did i read and comprehend the guide correctly"?? this is not hard, not much has changed in the last 20 bots at the core. you still load it all the same, you have a lot more things you can play with now :)

i've been here since october or september and ... i remember when hb you logged in, had a few profiles, you click start and it did what you wanted, then you load your own profile (instead of the lazy ones we have now) and you trained, geared yourself, talents, etc... but it did it!! as long as you followed the very, very simple instructions. same with GB. its not hard to look at the map attached to a gb profile and be like "yeah thats what i want".

...

more than 2 cents, but hey, wth :)
