A little advice on dual-botting/accounts

While this could be asked on the WoW Forums, I figured since it's directly related to botting, this place is fine.

I've recently purchased another set of WoW discs and intend to buy another HonorBuddy key.

Now my question, can I have, and run, two WoW accounts under one Battle.net account, or would it be better to have two Battle.net accounts with one WoW account attached.

I also want to transfer one of my miners to the other account for dual-mining, would I still be able to do this if I had a separate Battle.Net account?

Thanks in advance

You can have 2 seperate accounts under one battle.net better known as WoW1 WoW2
as long as they have the same name you can transfer toons between accounts
example:

Account 1 your name is John Jacobs
Account 2 your name is John Jacobs

this is fine

If you account 1 name is different then your account 2 name then you cannot do this.

Why oh why is that grayed out?

jFQgW.webp
Dfmpm.webp

Because you do not have either:
1) a second WoW account on that battle.net account
2) a second Cata enabled account on that battle.net account

If you can say you have both of these then you will need to called billing

Edit : Ok seeing your second picture. You have 1 Cata enabled account and 1 account only Bc enabled (1-70) you cannot transfer a level 85 character to a account without Cata enabled

WoW 1 Cataclysm <------Can transfer level 85 to and from this account
WoW PTR <----- Is the Ptr not applicable in this situation
WoW 2 Battlechest <-------- Only able to transfer characters level 70 and under to and from this account

I smashed my face against the desk after posting, realising my density. However, for science, I tried to transfer a level 60 and it's still grayed out.

Log out and back into battle.net and try the lvl 60again, you may have to call billing if it does not work.
Also if this is a new digital buy (the battlechest) you may have to wait upto 72 hours for the restrictions to be removed before you can transfer to that account.

It's all discs. I'm not loving the idea of throwing them all in the bin having wasted the CD-Keys.

I wasn't aware about the time restrictions.

Ticket time, this is giving me a headache.
