So, I was just mopping up a few more quests towards Loremaster, and as usual I wasn't really monitoring the bot. More like daydreaming whilst looking in the general direction of the screen. When I spot a female troll stood just next to my toon. Not all that unusual, but for me I usually check out any other players I see that are close to me (just to see what they are upto and whether I need to interact). So I have a scan around and see no one there. So I hit stop and take a closer look around the area. Still nothing? The zone is in the Blood Elf starting zones in which you cannot fly. So I think to myself they can either be stealthed or made off on a ground mount, which I would have seen.
At this point my mind starts going a little twisted. Am I going mad, did I imagine it, it was only a glimpse I saw but it looked real enough at the time. Or maybe it's a good old Games Master playing old school tricks on me :/
I was just about to reach for my tin foil hat and press the off button, when I thought to my self. I recognize that female troll (though they all look the same). I took a quick look through my WoW log to find that I'd just dismounted from the Travelers Trundra Mamoth and that the troll was the general goods passenger, which de-spawns after about 5 seconds.
(note to self : less coffee, more sleep)
