Over the past few weeks I've noticed more and more people posting threads about not having decent scripts or upset that dungeon buddy isn't up and running properly or that they've been banned on their main account because they have been using a bot and the best one of them all, WHY HAVEN'T HB BROUGHT OUT AN UPDATE AFTER WOW PATCH QUICKER.

IF YOU BOT WORLD OF WARCRAFT THERE IS A CHANCE YOU WILL GET THAT ACCOUNT BANNED ITS A SIMPLE AS THAT. HB TELL YOU "DO NOT BOT ON ANY ACCOUNT YOU DON'T WANT BANNED". IF YOU BOT ON YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT AND IT GETS BANNED ITS YOUR FAULT NOT ANYONE ELSE'S AND DEFIANTLY NOT HB.

Now working on an update for HB is going to take as long as it takes, HB say this every time and yet people still complain. Best thing you can do when you know there is a restart or shutdown is to not close your WoW window that way when you log back in you haven't got the sneaky patch update they've done and you can still use HB because the update will only occur if you try to open a new WoW window.. Simple right? I think so. (I never use Battle.net to log into WoW)
So give the devs and programmers at HB a rest and be patient or take matters into your own hands and find away around it, eg: don't close your WoW window on reset days.

Now as for simple scripts that will help you farm herbs and minerals there are currently a few good free public GB2 ones you can find in the HB forums if you look, yes i said it you have to look for them under Gatherbuddy 2 Profiles. Go to Legion 700-800 and in there you will find heaps of good free scripts you can use. DocTalbuk is currently working on some awesome scripts that Ive been using and they work great.

Now if free public scripts isn't your thing and you don't want to pay the reasonable price for a private one then make your own, it isn't that hard, you don't need to be a programmer or coding genius. There are many ways you can do this

2. Google simple ways to make a HB script for GatherBuddy
3. Google anything to do with making a GatherBuddy script in it

Click on that link read what you need to do and make a script that you can use for yourself or if you feel its good enough and want to then share it with the HB community then do so and ask for feed back. Simple right? I think so.

For Routines it's even easier to find because HB have a store where community developers sell there routines and other products for HB. Go to the top of this page and look in the middle and you will see Buddy Store if you click on that it will you navigate you to the store where you can browse around and read the information on the routines, botbases, plugins and profiles. If what you're wanting isn't in the store then Google what you are looking for.. Simple right? I reckon it is.

I know in this post i may come off as a prick or what ever funky word you can think up to describe me which is reasonable because not only have i made it super simple for retards to click on links i have also said what a lot of other people are thinking. It really is that simple to make scripts for GB2 and it is really that easy to Google what you want to find on the web so stop with the stupid threads about why arent there any good scripts or is there any good routines for this class.
You have no one else to blame but yourself if you have been botting on your main account and it gets banned so stop with the angry threads about being banned and wanting your money back because it wont happen.

Remember you run the risk of getting an account banned if you bot.
Remember HB devs and programmers are working on an update but it will take as long as it takes because if they release something that isn't right it wont work properly and more people will get banned and HB will lose credibility as a good bot software.

I do hope you have a good read and understand where im coming from, HB has an awesome community of developers and they are working to provide you with their work mostly free of charge.
And it isn't that hard to Google what you're looking for.

it likely isn't as bad as it seems. however, for new users, there's no particular index or catalog of what works and what doesn't yet, because there's never been a consistent cataolog/index apart from the store before.

And if the store doesn't offer a feature, it often gets ignored because the forums are unwieldy without a index or page to link everything. Previous efforts have failed as well, due to the volunteering basis of provision/updates, so it's all very clique driven. i.e. profilers know about profiles, CR's know about CR's, the community insulation has it's downsides. one being, it's hard to change bad habits or get out of the bubble.

second, hb3 is new, and the changeover wasn't handled as effectively as it could have been. store items is probably the one thing that could have been managed a little better to indicate what was hb3 ready or not, other than looking for updates to know if it's for 3.x or 2.x, or was legion compatible, sic. etc. but this would have added a layer of database complexity, i.e. giving store devs a way to create a dependency to prevent pushing updates that are tied to a specific feature/bot/client version. again, it's mostly up to devs to handle things like this and customers to disable and enable broken store items that won't work.

Nothing significantly wrong with the store per se, but there's a reason for the peevishness, i.e. having spent a few hundred euros on items that don't work, or might not work again. At times, this lack of feedback and forward thinking generates hostility and some entitlement. a lack of feedback creates this resentment in general.

it couldn't have been entirely avoided even if there was a migration period, due to the ways that HB insulates itself from 3rd parties. it's all mostly volunteered content, even if the store contributors are on contracts, so it's nobody's fault. speficically, except that if you start pointing fingers, then everyone would blame the few people getting things on track.

no, that's only for hotfix patches. if it's a major revision, you won't be able to login even if you leave it open.

preferably, don't use other people's public gb2 profiles. there used to be a gb2 recorder that would store and replay gathering areas and movements, you'd follow a loop, or import it in, and it would replay the positions, making changes for elites/enemies, etc.

legion has the advantage that the nodes are so spread out, that there's no real coherence, that it's not really the point.

in addition, 7.1's blood vendor (illnea bloodthorn) will change the herb/gathering prices (3 starlight for 1 sargeras), and in general, blood of sargeras is easier to grind, if a lot duller.

For Routines it's even easier to find because HB have a store

I dont really complain, i know htey have a tough job, and I think I have more of a right the most i suppose. If you got on my curse and saw all 145 characters i had during wod, only 1 didnt get banned, lost 7 bnets ect. But its part of the game. That being said, we were being sold false security for a bt in the form of HB deactivating to avoid bans, i think it got me banned once, that's the most it helped. It would shut down HB and every time I was already banned. IM saying i like to make informed decisions, and with all the facts i could have prob made a better choice. But still my fault if it hadnt saved me and i kept going back expecting a different outcome well isn't that the definition of insanity? I spent the last bit of wod using a rotation bot i got elsewhere and got no more banns but i missed everything HB had. Although HB doesnt have the community Devs it did . we still have alot of good ones, they have just thinned out, and there is alot of holes for things in the store.

this also means there is plenty of room for new developers. to everyone and no one specific: botting gets you banned and if you dont like whats offered on the forums, you can always write your own.

the developers here, past and present, coded for a reason, even if it wasnt apparent, there was a reason. they enjoyed it, they coded for profit, their gf/bf needed a profile/cr to play wow. there was some reason. we can not even begin to know what was going on in the life of a developer to make them continue or quit working with honorbuddy. we, as a community, need to start enjoying our time with honorbuddy instead of focusing on finding faults in a program or the hb community.

maybe, instead of bringing negative things to the forums, we can come and start discussions on how to make the community better. start working together on new ideas rather than tearing old ones apart. instead of bitching and whining about failing profiles, take the first step and learn simple profile writing. there are many sources here on the forums and on google.

Honestly I think this was a waste of time on your part, people getting upset that stuff isn't up quick enough or there isn't enough profiles have been around since the dawn of HB, fuck it used to be worse back in glider days.

To call issue with your original post,look at the date of that how to make GB scripts post its from 2011, hardly a good reference article for anyone anymore.

Anyways we have a thread going so I'll spout off my own ideas, I think the issue here is that bossland made the wrong decision of making the most popular plugin/bot basses included in the actual bot rather than people having to go find them. Now that they are included in the bot people seem to think that they should be updated ASAP since they are apart of the bot when the fact is they've just been included because they are usefull. I could dive deeper into this but its pointless, the rest of us will just continue to wait as we always have and others will continue to complain as they always will.

Thank you i think alot of people write post just to think they are important and what they say matters. Honestly if everyone minded their own business this forum would be just like it use to be but you have to many keyboard heros who have to voice their opinion. we all here support developers and what they offer nothing is what it use to be now more then ever.
