I've had a few problems and questions arise in my first day of using AB and just thought I'd make a note for you guys to check.
I'll start with the questions:
- In the install guide it suggests we use the folder D:\Games\ArcheBuddy\ , is there any particular benefit to this? As it stands ArcheAge itself is installed on my D drive, so I thought it would be more appropriate to install it on a separate drive.
- Is it necessary to use AB to start ArcheAge? I was able to run it prior to starting ArcheAge with no problems (though there may be one).
Problems:
- I ran a AFK test today and made it to level 18 with no snags, but came home to discover AA was closed. I checked my logs to see what went wrong but my log file is total gibberish. It basically looks like random letters and symbols, I won't copy and paste in the case that it's not.
- After installing AB and especially after I came home, AA crashes after going through the loading video screens. It happened when I initially installed a few times but 100% when I got back today. I was able to fix it by restarting my PC, but I haven't attempted to run AB yet since I'm just doing regular dailies or whatever before going to my cat.
