A couple of questions about multiple accounts/bots

I plan on setting up several accounts to bot/script on. I'm looking for answers from people that have done similar things.

Is it safe to link multiple botting accounts to one paypal account, is it possible they ban all accounts linked to one paypal account, even if one account is clean?

Does running multiple bots on the same IP increase the risk of being banned?

I've heard different takes on how safe it is to transfer gold between accounts, is there a consensus best way to do this?

Would having different accounts under similar email addresses be an issue? For example the same email address, but one being yahoo, gmail, hotmail etc.

Any other advice or tips would be appreciated as well.

Thanks for your help.

The problem is, No one really knows.. we don't know what type of information Blizzard actually tracks, or even how much. What I can tell you is. if somehow a mod decides to do research on you I'm sure everything you mentioned would be a good place for him to research... my suggestion do everything humanly possible to protect yourself. everything random. just have it written on a piece of paper. It may be overkill. but at least you have a chance at protecting yourself if it came down to it.

I had a WoW account get banned because it was tied to the same credit card as another that got banned, that was their excuse at least. Honestly, they were both botting, one was just the AH toon, which leads me to believe that they can see this, but at the same time, they want to keep customers. So who knows on that.

Blizzard cannot see your direct IP, so they cannot ban you via IP, because what happens if my brother is playing upstairs, and I'm playing from downstairs, they just can't do it.

Gold is one of the easiest things to track in a database, where it came from, where it goes, they can see all of that. That is how they flag gold sellers/buyers. The safest way is to take the AH cut, but honestly, I just trade it, haven't had a ban for that yet.

Email addresses don't matter. They aren't going to ban you because of similar emails. The same, maybe, but ones that are close, not a chance. You have to think about how many accounts they have, the chances of their being similar emails is actually quite high.

Advice, if you are botting, prepare for a ban, because it will happen, maybe not for years, but it can happen. Just bot hard, have fun with it, and go from there. I just recently got an email from Blizzard stating they had banned an account that hadn't even been active in over 4 months. After calling them, they said that it looked like I had been hacked and someone had botted on it, even though I had an authenicator on it, and it wasn't active. I think it was just their ploy to get me to call them to resub.

I'm not sure why you think they can't see your I.P, it's not exactly private info. Heck, even this forum probably shows your I.P address to Admins/Mods as it's standard with most software. You're probably right about the non banning of I.Ps though, it's not effective and can lead to accounts not tied to bots being banned.
