It better for us to have some standard informations from you about suspension and bans
so use the form below in order to report a suspension or a ban

1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? HB

2)If so, when was the last time?: 6 Hours Ago

3)What profile were you using?: Kick's Horde 1-60 Bottom

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: FPSWARE Hunter

5)What plugins are you using?: None

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 6-10

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No

10)EU or US realm?US

So I got an email saying that my password had been reset. 5 mins later I got the Exploitive Activity Email. I'm wondering if I can appeal it and say I was hacked or if they reset my password. And I am kind of confused because I have 3 Bots going 24/7, 2 are farming and another one is leveling up. Neither of those accounts got caught but my main account which I just used for a few hours got flagged. A friend of mine who lives in the apartment next to me also got a 72 hour ban and he was leveling in Northrend.

Account Name: ********

Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized ***** Programs ("Hacks")

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/antigold.html

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://us.blizzard.com/company/legal/index.html. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/exploitfaq

Think I would be able to get the time reduced by appealing or would that just draw more attention to my accounts?

call them at phone and ask them why they ban you.
what was the reason coz i dont see they have ban you for boting.
had the same situation but with per ban. when i call them they told me i got banned coz i was online 17hours +
at that 17 hours i farm herbs lvl professions even went for raid. i had my acc back after 10mins at phone with Blizz
try it you never know :)

I got the same thing, I actually assumed I was hacked because of the change of password email, and then 5m later the temp ban email came through. This temp ban went through after being loged off the account for 6+ hours as well. I log everything off before and during my raids.

I ran archy bot from about midnight last night through about 6PM today, and not completely unatended, I would manually HS and sell goods / Train and even made about 10 or so AH post. I even logged the account off for about 2 hours during that time frame too. From about 6am till 8AM

Is this normal for the change of pass email to go out with the temp ban notice?

Exactly who did you call to resolve this issue? I had called them for my first appeal and couldn't get a direct answer as to why my account had been suspended. All the customer rep did was send an appeal on my behalf to the account admin team which was denied. I made a 2nd appeal attempt from my email and still got that denied as well.

Appeals are really all about luck. And asking why you were temp/perm banned, they wont tell you. They don't have to tell you anything. "To protect the integrity of our investigation process, we do not disclose information about our investigation methods or findings. This includes, but is
not limited to, the names of prohibited programs found to have been used."

To protect the integrity of our investigation process, we do not disclose information about our investigation methods or findings.(AKA: they won't tell you how they know, or if they even have proof) This includes, but is not limited to, the names of prohibited programs found to have been used(AKA: they won't tell you if they know you were using HB or GB, if they come right out and say they know your using said program then that says they have means of detecting said program. If that happens, all the users would have warning and stop using the program, they don't want that, they want it to keep running as-is so they can ban users before the code, and or means of detection are changed. They may not even know what you used, but they most definitely will not let you know that.)
