Been botting since 2005, used several different bots over the years and this is the first ban I have received.
I have been using Honorbuddy for about a month and I started using Gatherbuddy 2 days ago and I received this e-mail this morning.
Update: This was on an EU server btw
I botted a character for my friend on the same computer as my account and finished leveling his character about a week ago, his account wasn't banned.
Update 2: Used the form provided in the sticky.
1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Both
2)If so, when was the last time?: Honorbuddy about 10pm the night before. Gatherbuddy earlier in the day. (17/06/2010)
3)What profile were you using?: Arathi Highlands Mining Profile (from http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?4490-HB2-1-450-Mining-Profiles-Horde-Alliance)
4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Convalesce (Paladin)
5)What plugins are you using?: None
6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 24/7
7)How many auctions per day did you have?: None
8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? I had a few standard mods installed for when I hand leveled. Recount, deadly boss mods, atlas loot ret paladin rotation addon.
9)Was your account involved in gold selling? No

I understand the risks of botting and i'm not saying gatherbuddy is detected as a lot of bans are down to player reports and I bot 24/7 so it's very likely that the bot got stuck running into a wall or something which resulted in the ban.Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")
This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized cheat program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game."
Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.
