Please advise:
Should I appeal this ban? Log read:
"Not in game" after fairly normal looking interactions with npc's less than 15 minutes before I got the email. However, I had left it unattended for maybe two hours prior to that happening.. Gut instinct says that any innocent person would claim that err, they were innocent. However, is there any risk in disagreeing with the GM over this?

Could be an automated temp ban so you should be able to get it removed. (someone else can chime in on what excuse to use)

The questing profile is pretty safe imo, unless you run it 24/7 or someone reports you. It should be fine

Maybe it got stuck/was doing something stupid and someone reported it, Seems a bit odd.

Well when it got hit it was not doing anything stupid, but it has been stuck at times in the past.. who knows when it was triggered/reported?

Thank you for your input.

You should consider yourself lucky. Most are perma bans. The only thing I am thinking is maybe they are feeling you out. They might think you are botting but cannot prove it. I would definitely try and appeal it. In the words of Ari Gold (Entourage if you haven't seen it do yourself a favor and see it) "Deny deny deny." Contact them and just say you have been playing 12 hours a day because you our out of work for an injury or illness =) They won't tell you what actually got you banned so there is a risk in lying no matter what. Good luck though. Keep us updated.

To be honest I don't think playing for 12 hours in a day would raise any flags, but perhaps playing 12 hours a day EVERY day might.

Who knows though it's all speculation, consider yourself lucky... sort of. Now you need to be more careful.

Considering all the utterly shit luck I've had in other regards as of late, I suppose some good luck is welcome. I've contact blizz but no reply yet and with weekend I don't expect them to get back before the ban has expired, but at least I'll have pleaded my innocense.

no idea how you got banned, levelled 6 level 85's to date, always did it 24/7, most likely hood is you got stuck, specially in northrend it tends to happen quite abit I can remember way back when I was doing my first level 85, I woke up with my mage walking into cliff next to where I just picked up a quest... had to wake up and fix it.. lucky no one must of reported.
