Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized cheat program, also known as a "hack.". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Shop - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on exploitive activity, please visit the Account Administration Overview and contact page here: http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/300515

They said I was using hacks or exploiting. Then I said I never hacked or exploited.

They responded with

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting the Account Administration Department!

We have reviewed the referenced action, however, a registered user of the account was found to have used unauthorized automation software (also known as "botting") to gain an unfair advantage over other players.

As such, we are unable to amend or remove the account action (72 Hour Suspension). This suspension will automatically lift on the following GMT timestamp: 2013-07-22 [02:20:39].

To protect the integrity of our investigation process, we do not disclose information about our investigation methods or findings. This includes, but is not limited to, the names of prohibited programs found to have been used.

This action has been taken in accordance to our Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use) and our game policies (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20309), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to participation. When an account violates these policies, the situation is reviewed and appropriate action is taken.

Please understand, any activities not intended by game design which affect the economy, the client, player characters, or the world itself have a tremendous negative impact on the potential enjoyment for all players. The effects of these activities take many forms including a bloated game economy, server instability, and allowing unauthorized access to accounts, computers, and player data.

Only the Account Administration department can address disputes or questions about this account action. To learn more about how we are able to assist you, please visit us at [http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/account-administration-overview].

This is my first ban, I've had the account since the beginning of wrath. Do I fight it? Or just take the ban and stop botting on the account?

why would you fight the 72h ban? they will never reduce it, it can only become perma ban if u push it

Do you know if there was a reason you think you were banned? Were you running into walls or just not watching? I used Kick's all the time and don't see how you can get banned unless its detected.

I usually keep two monitors open, doing my other activities on one, while botting on the other. I generally keep an eye on the botting monitor, and interact at least 60% of the time. Just keep things looking like you're a player when around other people, or in general. Don't bot on anything your not willing to lose.
