Hi all,

I have never tried a 5 man dungeon group but really wanted to see if I could get one going before next expansion. It isn't for making gold I was hoping to have a group I could rotate one of my main toons through to farm JP and Valor by myself, help level my guild, create etxra 90's etc. Just had some questions.

1) I have two spare accounts currently doing nothing how do I setup the RAF bonus to run 5mans from the two existing accounts?
2) Is it even viable to sucessfully run a full group to farm JP and valor at level 90?
3) Best resoloution (size) for the 5 WOW windows on one monitor?
3) I assume you just use the follow tank option in dungeon buddy setup and press play?
4) I wanted to use a dk for the tank but I need to get the other toons to 60 first, any sugestions on best tank class till 60?

Any advice on how to best set it up and plugins etc would be greatly appreciated.
 
1) Using dungeonbuddy, 1 of the accounts as the leader with all the party members on the list, the rest defined as followers
2) Yes, many members do that just be aware of using DungeonBuddy for nothing else but dungeons as it may raise a suspicious on your accounts as well as how long you use it on it without breaks
3) Don't think there is a "BEST" resolution it all comes down to what you like and how you organize the positioning of each instance of wow/hb
4) Yes, basically what I explained on item 1) setup up tank, input group members and it will invite everyone into a group given the other accounts are set as followers with the leader name on it
5) Paladin with DPS gear goes really fast.

PS: you have to items numbered as 3

thanks for the info namednoob and China. Namednoob do you think it is to risky to 5man group dungoens for jp and valor now? Even if I only do it while at the pc? Just want to check before i spend the coin :)
 
There is also a great source of information on this on this topic
I have recently started a 5man team and can say it is very fast leveling and fun to do so (main reason I bot). Hope to rotate jp farming as well.

Thanks was a good read :) if I have 2 accounts already apart from my main how do I set up the RAF bonus properly? Do I do 2 new accounts from one and the other from account number 2? Will that get me the RAF bonus for all five?
 
You can only RAF existing accounts as long as they were created <30 days ago. If they are, log into your main account (Wow1 or whatever), open the social/friends pane (O by default) and click the 'Recruit a Friend' button. Enter the email address that will be used (can be the same battle.net if you want) and send. Check your email shortly afterwards and you'll get a link, follow the link and it should give you the option to start a new starter edition or apply the RAF to an existing account as long as it was created less that 30 days ago. Do the same process again for multiple RAF's. You can have up to 8 on each Battle.net account.

RAF bonus rewards are Battlet.net wide so all accounts under that email will get the mounts/pets.

As long as there is someone you're linked with in the group, you'll have the bonus. If you link 2 new to one of them and 1 to the other they will all get RAF.
 
RaF lasts for 90 days, as long as the 2 accounts connected are still paid you can still RaF

Which is enough to make 5 x 90 on several servers lol ;)

Sweet thank all thats what I thought Ill do 2 raf invites off one account then one of the other. I want to level up 3 more 90's for my main and then get a good 5man group going before WOD. For a good farming group for old raids etc what do people think of a blood DK, 3 x hunters , and whats the best healer at 90? Monk Priest? Druid? or are 3 boomies better for all the resses?
 
Not tried Blood tank yet but I imagine it would be solid. Ranged DPS seems to work best for me, melee always got it rough :rolleyes:.
Had trouble with Mistweaver Monk healing, that was a while ago though, the combat routines might be better now. I swapped to Resto Druid and never looked back.

This is the next group I'm thinking of leveling, Playing with this tool to see all buffs etc is pretty sweet.

Nice that looks sweet i might just use a dk instead of the druid as tank but how is preist as heals? Any good routines? I haven't tried one yet.

Disc priest are awesome, I guess currently the best combo to clear end content is shaman (primary) and either a disc priest or a holy paladin.

Who you choose for the group play a big role, here is an example:

Paladin have BoP and devo aura
Warriors have demo and skull banner
Shaman have totem and spirit link
Disc priest have that dome and can shield people
Rogue have smoke bomb

So I would say make your groups very carefully and you will be able to have the best out of it.

A good fight example for instance Garrosh:

While the shaman would be able to use spirit link and totem to help the group on "whiling corruption" the druid would only be able to pray and over heal.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to try tank warrior, dps monk,hunter,warlock and disc or holy priest which ever works better. I'm going to use this as my first group because i still need a warrior, monk and hunter on my main account once they are done. I will see how the group goes before i make my decision on my end farming group :)
 
Ok so I have my five accounts up and running with 5 toons at level 15 ready to start dungeonbuddy. Tank Warrior, Heals Priest, DPS, monk, hunter, warlock. I have an alienware laptop more than capable of running 5 wow screens but how do people organise them? Is there a free multibox software where you can arrange the screens to suit or do people just do it by hand? Just have to pony up for 3 more HB licences and im good to go lol.
 
ok all I can say is WOW lol I bought the extra keys and spent the investment and I cant believe how good it runs so far. Did ragefire chasim it picked up the quests healed tanked and dps'd beautifully invited each other to group etc. I have got 4 level in 3 runs and 10% guild rep I just cant believe how amazing it is thanks DEV's keep up the good work. Cant wait to see how JP/Valor farming goes at level 90 :)

They play better then players on LFR :P just wait and see hahahaha.

Ok I found out I still had a keyclone key so I'm using that to sort out my screens and log on, it is working great because I can also switch who is on the main screen if I need to see something. I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with guild rep? I gained a level and a half as all 5 toons are in the same guild but I have gained no further exp in the last 10 levels only if they complete quests now does anyone know why this is?
