Someone who doesnt play any other chars, doesn't use AH, doesn't do anything else but going to the same spot over and over again is obvious, sto talking about detection and learn to protect yourself against patterns.

Where do you get from that 70-80% are banned in the US? You know how many people using DB right now? I want call it a massban right now. For now it's a normal Banwave, nothing more, nothing less.

Greetings

So you say DB is detectable? Okey how about Blizzard didn't want to believe you 12 hours straight botting every day at the same spot? Hm, I see even Auto IT scripter got banned I guess they detected it too?

Here we start as expected.
Do you seriously think a wretched mother profile could be detected by pattern? Do you realize how many legit players are doing the same movements - following path and killing mobs? And still there are reports for people using this and other lvl profiles like leoric and being banned. Same with Core of Arreat and ZK Runs - tons of people banned... Hell i was manually doing CORE in the first days of D3 for HOURS AND HOURS to farm gold and im 1000% sure tons of legit players do core runs for hours as I write this but why aren't they banned and it's just botters. ZK Runs - even now I manually lvl 1-30 for 4 hours ZK runs all my new chars and hell I behave like bot with almost no pause between joins etc, did I get banned for that - ofc not, however bots are being banned. So please stop repeating the same thing like a parrot. It is not pattern ban only, they do not ban SARK runners only but people with profiles far more randomized, and if it was pattern detection only the bnet forums would be full of crying kids by now, however it is not.

P.S.
Seriously till now devs kept saying if it was a DB related ban it wouldn't be only few people being banned. After this massban where 70-80% *so far* from the US botters were banned I think it is time for DB crew to admit DB is detectable at some point. Keep in mind that the ban started shortly after new patch yesterday with a peak last night and will probably hit more users today. Almost all friends, DB users, suffered a all-chars-ban last night as well.
For the past 10 days I've been home most of the time. Daily I let the bots run 3-4 hours, then I shut them down for 2 hours, re-started and total of 2-3 pauses during the day. Total run time did not exceed more than 10-12 hours, or even less because every few hours I had a diablo crash/freeze. The chances that I have been detected for a bot behaviour are slim due to the big pauses, create game delay of 3 seconds, NO SALVAGING / SELLING of items. Also the bot chars have never entered a public game, did not have any friends and noone else knew the acc names but me, so person report as a reason for ban is impossible.
To everyone that will start trolling here saying they were not banned even after botting 24/7, well I have a word for you. I have been botting since the start v1.09 of Diablo2. When some program was detected and massban followed there was a big part of the botters that were not banned for some reason and still it was program/code detection ban.
Also tonight people were banned for running lvl profiles ONLY like mother/leoric where to detect a bot behaviour will be impossible unless banning HUGE number of legit players and from the bnet forums I do not see such.
So lets face it, DB is detectable more or less and unless devs find out a good way to protect DB users, more bans will follow.

Not trying to be a fanboy here but you're missing several important points. I will not argue with you on whether DB is detected or not, but I trust the dev's insight for they know their way around Blizzard's warden protection.

1) This is not even a mass ban or a ban wave. A ban wave is when Blizzard flags all the accounts and ban them all at the same time, typically weeks to a month from being flagged. And for every ban wave, there is at least a few hundred or thousands banned.

2) You don't know how large the DB user base is, what basis are you claiming the "70-80% banned" on?

3) It is really easy to datamine and pinpoint out which account is suspicious on Blizzard's end.

4) DB users are not the only one hit. Look at *other forums*, some on IB are banned, some on AutoIT ZK/Sarkoth scripts, some running core.

My point is, it's not a DB-specific ban at all. There are users running 24/7 on multiple accounts (including me) on US and is still going strong, yet there are those who get their accounts closed.

P.S. And for christ's sake, lrn2paragraph... seriously.

I have nothing against DB, really, so far I purchased 10 lifetime sessions and more to come. But if you read the last 2 pages of this subforum you will see 25 or so US users banned, me included and it has been just some hours since the ban started. Most of the US users are sleeping now so more posts will follow. And if someone is willing to count all users who post on the DB forums will probably see they are not "thousands" as many claim. And for me banweave is when more than 50 users got banned, especially when banned for different profiles locations and I am sure we will hit that number later today. As for other bots being banned together with DB - that doesn't prove anything regarding detectability of DB. Have you ever considered that they are all program detected?
I do not want to blame devs or anything, but they could at least consider the fact that DB may be detectable with the latest patch changes /and probably warden changes if they are any/
Oh and to all retarded trolls that only post a flame without any informative comments - I will gladly troll on your ban threads soon.

We all have nothing against DB or the buddy team, we know that we could get banned anytime and have 60 bucks down the drain any minute we start botting - we should all take responsibilities and face the consequences of our own decisions.

And please stop harping on the detectability of DB, I do not wish to get into that topic with you because I have no real and solid proof to back up anything I'll be saying. What I posted were mere opinions of mine gathered through my observation of ban patterns of D3 and WoW - i.e. generally how Blizzard bans people violating their policies.

Blizzard could simply implement a script on the server side to detect "bot-like" behaviors - e.g. vaulting or moving to the same coordinates every x seconds, creating how many games per minute, etc and find a pattern from there to determine if you're a bot. This way, no bot as of now is capable of going "undetected" because we have no control over what Blizzard logs on their servers.

1. You don't have to register @ the forum to use the bot!

2. You don't believe there are not even 1000 users. Oh my friend ;) What do you think is the break even for such a development?! :P

3. 50 users is not a ban wave for a detected Bot/Cheat whatever. You ever played fps games :) You ever experienced a ban on a detected cheat there? And for sure, if the bot is detected, blizz will ban a lot more people. I think, that the actual bans are only made on D3 Profile analytics. Thats a easy way, can be scripted, and can surely hit non-botters, but excessive players, too.

Greetings

Just throwing it out there..........been doing Sark 24/7 and Core 24/7 no bans. I am not trolling either mods can see my logs.

I only use DB with some plugins nothing else.
