For a few months, I was farming the same LK dungeon with 2 of the 4 accounts. I farm the dungeon with only 1 character since it was only a LK dungeon, and was making about 550gold/hr. A few days ago, I decided to add another bot to my operation, making it 3 bots solo-farming the dungeon, separately. It all appeared to be safe with the 3 accounts, so lastnight I decided to add the 4th bot to my process to do the same thing. Within 10 hours or so, the 3 accounts were perma-banned. All 3 emails were the same and gave the reasoning for : "NOTICE OF LICENCE TERMINATION" due to "USAGE OF BOTS OR OTHER ***** SOFTWARE."
At first, the 4th account that I added last was not banned. So, I stopped the bot and logged out of that account. About 6 hours later, I received an email for this account stating it was closed. The reason for this account was "EXPLOITATIVE ACTIVITY FOUND." They claimed this account was "ABUSING THE ECONOMY."
When I received my first little personal ban wave, I opened a livechat ticket with Blizzard for one of the Perma-banned accounts. The representative told me they knew of the other accounts in my name that were banned for the same exact thing, at the same location. They said that the information they had regarding my accounts was obvious that I was botting, according to them. I know I should not have opened a ticket and probably should have just dealt with my loss and continued on, but I did not. So, now they are doing some more research of this all and will determine if my accounts were guilty of what they accused me of or if they made an error. Obviously, I know they are not going to overturn their decision. As a matter of fact, 6 hours later was when the 4th account was banned. So, now I'm sitting here waiting to see if my 2 main WoD accounts, that I only bot to level, will be affected on my other computer. I of course stopped botting all together for the time being to see what the hell is going to happen.
Point is, I do not know why or how I was caught. Not sure if somebody had seen me and reported me, or what. It appeared that I had a good run when I was only using 2 bots to farm this dungeon and when I decided to add more, that's when I got caught. Coincidence? I don't know. I think they will reverse the decision on the 4th account with "abusing the economy" because I don't know wth they are talking about with that specific account closure.
I think something might be happening here. Blizzard seems to be banning people more frequently it seems. What I do not understand is why some people receive a 72hr suspension, some people are banned, but given additional chances and warnings, and others only receive one ban and are perma-banned, without any other chances.
At this point, I'm not sure if I should start a couple of new battle-chest accounts or what...Touché Blizzard, touché...
