4 SoR accounts were all banned at the same time on 5-30-2012. Currently I have gotten one back, but the other 3 I have had no luck.
1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? GB
2)If so, when was the last time?: 4 accounts, each with 9-12 per day looping between all 4
3)What profile were you using?: private profiles
4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Singular for all
5)What plugins are you using?: Logmeout
6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:9-12 hours per account per day, on a loop with varied times
6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?20%
7)How many auctions per day did you have?: varies, but avg id say 75-150
8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? nope
9)Was your account involved in gold selling? nope
10)EU or US realm? US
This is the email I received on all 4, now keep in mind I have never sold gold on any of these toons yet:
***Notice of Account Closure***
Account Name: XXXXXXX
Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy
This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.
Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.
We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft
The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.
If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. And this is the email I received on the account that was overturned:
Hello
Game Master XXXXXXX here.
I got your petition and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to write in today.
Recently, your account was actioned incorrectly as a result of our efforts to protect the World of Warcraft environment from exploitative behavior. As part of these efforts, we recently closed some accounts engaged in or associated with exploitative activities including the use of third party programs. While our goal is to protect our players from such activities whenever possible, these closures were not intended to affect accounts if the exploitative activity was performed by an unauthorized party.
Please note that access to this account been restored and all actions removed. If your account was previously reported as compromised and in queue for an investigation, rest assured that this has not interrupted that process.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and encourage you to contact us with any further questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Good luck and play safe!
