This account has over 300 days played, has been around since vanilla, and has a toon which has earned every server first raiding title. Could be why it was only temporary. I was at my computer the entire time I was botting, replying to whispers from guildies and being very active. I logged for 20 minutes to eat, and came back to a 3 day ban.

Was being as safe as possible. I know the risks of botting on the main account, but I don't want to have to pay ~70$ to get another cata account + 15 each month.

just send em a mail

although people say only do it on permas, i would do it on a 3 day aswell.

botting weeks now, 24/7, when hb doesnt crash on me and nothing.

still looks like most bans are on US side.

55 minutes after submitting a ticket, the suspension was repealed.
a bit weary to continue botting.

Thank you for contacting us concerning the recent action taken against the World of Warcraft account ******* While we understand your concerns regarding the status of this account, we take matters involving the integrity of the game environment very seriously.

Please take a few moments to look over the World of Warcraft Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Terms of Use), which all players agree to upon initially logging into the game.

The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use *****s, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..."

Additionally, the Battle.net Terms of Use (Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use) state that "You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Login Information, and you will be responsible for all uses of the Login Information, including purchases, whether or not authorized by you."

Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached.

Please review our in-game penalties policy (Blizzard Support) which states that "we must also factor in the severity of the infraction and how often the player has violated our policies in the past. Based on these factors, the penalty may be moved up the Penalty Volcano, up to and including Account Closure."

If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. If no additional correspondence is received, you should be able to access this account using the password that was valid before the account closure.

Thank you for your continued correspondence in regards to your account..

Wow, that really sucks. Especially for the first day of botting; but as stated before someone probably went wrong with the bot. If you're going to AFK you should Arch. It's a bit slower but it's extremely safe.

if you wanna bot on that account dont bot more then 4 hours !! and dont bot at all with that account IMO

My main acct is in the similar boat, so what I did was found a level 80 acct on Craigslist for $40 (cause it was a local person i met in person) and I bot on it for personal use. My friend (which is a fellow firefighter) bought another acct for me (which he pays monthly) to bot for the guild for mats, flask, and etc.

My opinion is I would not bot on that account at all!

If you're going to AFK you should Arch. It's a bit slower but it's extremely safe.

Was at the computer watching movies and what not for the entire time, glancing over every 5 min or so. : / (3 monitors)

What is arch?

I was unaware that it gave xp. Will try that for sure.
Hopefully with reduced questing times and a bit of arch thrown in, I can avoid this situation in the future.

Will try and find an account to bot with, but is there reason for concern with botting it on the same IP?

This still confused me. I've botted for such a long time and I've leveled multiple toons to 85 with questing. If you were watching it and you didn't notice anything fucking up.. How could you have gotten banned?

arch is archaeology - its a great way to bot afk with minimal (although still there) risk of being caught

i would recommend not botting that account. it sounds wayyyy to valuable just to get it banned. what are you plans for botting on the account once 85? level more characters? if it was to farm gold, it would be much safer and better to get a second account and then bot that
