What Power Supply Is Best? Do I need something specific for my intended 4.7 ghz Overclock of CPU? Should I focus on energy conservation for lower overhead? Can a coolermaster improve overall system heat? Is corsair the best option?

Newegg Calculator says recommended 451 Watt.
 
@51674 if i made more than half that back in thr first go i would be happy. think of all that hardware you would then have. as well as you still having all the db sessions. if u dont make it all back in the first go have a second shot at it and then u shud have it all back, and after that its all down hill :)

Because it is diablotech the wattage is 350w*"Diablo processes", in this case it would be 350w*16 = 5600 :) so more than enough ;)


@op it really depends how power efficient you want it to be...

hey mate ive seen alot of people that overclock to 4.7Ghz and they all have 1000+ Power Supplies.. I myself run a i5 3570k, ASRock Extreme 4, 8GB DDR3 GeiL Evo, Samsung 840 series 128GB SSD, 2TB WD Green , Coolermaster HAF 912 Advanced, 2x AMD 5850s crossfired and a 750W Antec Power Supply if you need anymore help email me ([email protected])

lol why is everyone posting up 500-750w power supplies? The amount of shit you're tossing in there, you might as well pick up a 1000w +. You're already dumping $2500.00 into it. Corsair has had some good deals lately for their modular PS.

There is no such thing as overkill on the internets. It's an amazing GPU and you can use it for things other than just Diablo lol.
 
Update: Went with the Corsair 650W Enthusiasts edition TX650. Recomended wats was 451 but considering overclock and high load I decided on the 650. considered the 750 but it was overkill considering I will not be adding anything else to this unit for a very long time.
 
For those interested, I have completed ordering the builds and the total cost per unit was.,

$1316.95

Though It could have been done for

1274.95 If I was comfortable with non genuine windows 7 pro.

Same computer from cyberpower would be around 3k each.

Also got some red lights for each unit that were not necessary but needed for cool factor.
 
eh... waste of money imo
