my main account was banned cos I was going nuts, leaving GB2 running 15 hours+ and botting 20+ hours a day.
I am very sad and try to appeal @ blizzard to get it back as it had close to a million gold and lots of 90's.

problem is I am ADDICTIED to botting and would like to see what the game got to offer. and I accidently purchased another game license on the same Battle.NET account...
I said it was accident as I was trying to proceed payment to see which expansion does the $10 cover to. but didn't notice that my B.net account is linked to my PayPal and they took $10 right away, which gave me up to lv85 (cata) and 30 days game time for $10. which is pretty good.

now I am worry as on the same B.net account I have another game license is banned for botting, and with this new license I'd be botting from the same b.net account. paid for the game with the same Paypal/CC...

will that increase the risk of getting banned? I am planning to lay low and just do questing. and set grinding/gathering to 1-2 hours at a time.
if I only do questing, with very little bit of grinding/gathering/BG... (say no more than 1-2 hours at a time) and frequently change profile, will that reduce the risk of getting ban?

Don't ever link Bnets..
and paypal isn't instant when you pay blizz :P

Hi,

I had a suspension on my main a while ago, which was administered as a 72 hour ban. I hope your Main will reach the same conclusion, a temporary ban. I still bot on my main -including Gathering, but no more than 4 hour sprints with my own profiles. The lesson you've learnt is one that can't be taught any other way. No matter what anyone says here, losing your main -even temporarily -teaches you vigilance. So at least take that from all of this; learn the lesson and bot smarter.

Specifically, I'd say you're ok. Why not look at your situation like this: Make this account your new Main, on your current Battle.net and bot lightly on it, Raid and Gather to support your Raiding. Then, if you feel the need, create a new Battle.net (use an unrelated payment method if possible) and you have your farming account. Perhaps more diligently you could follow the steps moving forward, and certainly you should follow the latter if you are botting for more than 8 hours:

* [Plugin] GatherSafe
* Never supply/demand COD
* Run your 'Gatherer' account within a VirtualBox / VMWare environment

Best of luck.

Because you were banned, your BNET account will have been flagged, so any other game account you may have under will be under close watch. I would definitely be more cautious about botting.

yeah I have to agree that gathering is the highest risk follow by BG. I ready from a site that blizzard cannot detect HB and other bots, but every time when Gathering bot click on a WP, it is sent to blizzard, and blizzard can easily recognise multiple clicks on the EXACTLY same WP accurate to the pixel... over a period of time

I try to write letter and live chat with bliz to get my main account back and there is no luck, and there goes my 6 years main account with 10+ 90's fully stacked and a million gold. u see the problem is that Ghost iron Ore sells soo good that even 15 hours a day of mining is not enough to meet the demand.

now I am levelling with Kicks just wondering, when u say no good to link B.net account or if I have one game license banned for botting the other license on the same BNET most likely to be watched is that really for real? had anyone experience similar thing where multiple game licenses on the same BNET account get banned together?? also when u open a new BNET account for farming on mask IP... do u use ur real name for the BNET account? cos it is gonna be the same as ur main account right? im trying to keep the gathering/Grinding/BG to the minimum, but those are the main source of gold income at. I heard that questing and dungeon grind is very safe. but if u are grinding 5-man dungeon and getting stuck or do stupid things isn't that easier to get reported? I have not tried all the dungeon scripts but I remember there were a few stucks in ToT LFRs.
