Hey,

I've been botting on and off from Vanilla, using various programs such as Glider, Pirox and most recently (over the past two years) Honorbuddy.

I used to bot a great deal on my main account, but haven't since January of this year. My account had over 21,000 achievement points and full geared 90s of every class. Since I stopped botting on my main account I only fish-botted on an alternate account under a different battlenet account/email.

I've opened an appeal and I'm still waiting on a response.

Hopefully all goes well...

If I don't get my main account back I will probably quit.
 
Looks like a manual GM investigation due to player reports, sadly they keep logs forever.. not 100% sure though but if it's your first ban then sadly these bans are hard to overturn.

before you give up, on your LAST appeal (and I mean last appeal) you can admit to fish botting, some GMs will unban you after you admit to botting as I've seen this done before... they should especially unban you as it seems you were banned for fish botting which usually only gets 24 hours (but nowadays it's 72h).

I received your ticket about the most recent ban on your account. I wanted to take a moment to write this out for you.. since you wanted a real response from a real Game Master. ;)

I took a look at this for you, I wanted to make sure that it got a real set of human eyes on it, because.. well let?s face it. Systems are cold, callous things that tend to not take the human factor into the equation.

So, I dug through the logs and I wanted to assure you that the ban has nothing to do with the tunneling service that you use? at least not by itself. You see, if the tunneling service was the only thing that raised a flag, then the ban wouldn?t happen. In other words, if it was normal game play showing up on the account from that tunneling service, then this wouldn?t be an issue. However.. based on my findings, I have no choice but to agree and uphold the evidence of the original ban.

I suppose I might re-level to play again next expansion, pretty demoralizing to say the least.
 
Most people seem to have alot of success appealing these I wonder why they threw the book at him so hard? Especially since he hadnt even botted on his main account since january. Theories?
 
This EXACT same thing just happened to me... it was my first time ever getting caught.. leveled 58-62 1 night.. and they banned me.. attempted to appeal many times.. they literally gave 0 f*cks
 
Blizzard's final response to my continued appeals.

Thank you for your continued correspondence. After a thorough final review of the action taken against this license, I have arrived at the same conclusion. The action will not be reversed or changed under any circumstances.

While I understand that some players may play more than others, we still have the capabilities to analyze whether a person is simply playing a lot, versus using automated systems. We have a myraid of tools and investigation techniques available to us - a complex system of checks and balances to make sure that we're not hitting false positives. And in this case they've all arrived at the same conclusion, exploitive activity has been found.

This account closure is final, and has been reviewed by multiple representatives. As such the issue is considered closed, and future contacts will not receive an answer.

We understand these penalties may seem harsh but they are done so to protect the integrity of our game world at large.

give it a day and then do your last appeal saying "i'll never do it again etc etc"
 
If i was you i would contact Sephiroth, he can still get it unbanned. I got my account banned today using gb2. Apealed and still waiting for response, if that fails im definitly paying 12? to get it back
