16/16 perm banned

Just got perm ban on 16/16 accounts. 15 of the accounts were botting the last one was my main, which I didn't bot on, had no need for it, as I had so much gold from boosting people and I kinda like playing the game myself, so saw no reason to bot on it. But yea it went down with the others.
Got banned for "abuse of economy".

Tried to appeal but got rejected as they say they have proof.. A shame I can't get my nearly 10 years old acc back . Always thought u had like "one chance"... But they won't reduce the perm ban to 72 hours

1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Dungeonbuddy on 15 - last one was my main with no connection to the bots.

2)Which version (and Beta or Release)?:Release

3)If so, when was the last time?: Happened while being online. My main was offline tho

4)What profile were you using?: Non- standard dungeonbuddy (Random MoP HC)

5)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Mainly singular- few weeks ago I tried with TuanHA, but caused me some problems when the routine needed to be updated and I weren't near the computer

6)What plugins are you using?:none

7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: The 15 running dungeonbuddy about 16 hours a day.

8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 10-20%

9)How many auctions per day did you have?: Non

10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no

11)Was your account involved in gold selling? Yupp. One of the accounts used for dungeonbuddy also acted as seller

12)EU or US realm? EU

13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account? Paid accounts

The "one chance" you're referring to usually pertains to auto-bans like gathering, questing, and dungeon grinding.

A GM probably watched your IP for awhile seeing as you had so many accounts running and smacked you for selling.

Man... use a mule pref with a diffrent pc and ip, so if your gold selling account gets banned, you wont drag all your farming toons with it...

Blizzard has no mercy when it's comes to banning accounts that are involved in gold selling, even if you have legit accounts in that IP and / or same WoW folder / PC.... They aint gonna bother to find out if one or two accounts are actually legit - I speak from experience.

...Well, you see someone who just got banned for doing what you do, so what do you think will happen?

That's the point of the ban forum - learn from the mistakes of others so you don't do the same thing yourself.

The actions are not all the same , thats very gm dependent. Some investigate further and others simple ban the account that sold the gold , i know the risks so i just hope they ban my mule and the 4 euro accounts that actually bots.

Still just pretty sad about my main acc haha.. But w/e.. probably what needed to be done for me to stop playing, so now im no longer limited and can go 100 % botting instead

Use a guildbank ( pref with more then 200 ppl in it - use pimpmyguild ) to transfer gold from farmers to mules. A banned farmer/goldselling account wont affect eachother then. ( Unless it's a manual investigation which they will look at the logs ) but it fools the warden, as most bans come from that pesky thingy.

Since you were tracked down with Abuse of Economy, with 99.9% confidence I am sure you will never retrieve these accounts.

I have lost a vanilla Scarab Lord account beside my bots some years ago too, so know the feeling.

But seriously, since you are aimed in the serious business, you need serious approach regarding your security too! Being serious is a serious stuff


Noone off the GMs do manual track you down for no reason. They got you after your accounts were flagged for mass-botting. Then, since one of them was involved in goldselling, it not hard for their system to flag you for manual investigation by AoE "specialist" GM.

With using mule accounts PROPERLY, you will never get flagged for selling gold. I am talking from my lately experience for this (In the last year)

If you do separate enough your botting accounts, you will never or at least less likely to get flagged for mass-botting too!

Good luck with the restart, dont take it to your heart, its just some pixels involved!

Interesting timeframe, I wonder if the bots triggered the investigation or the account that sold gold.

Do you happen to know their achievement points?

Did you do straight HC DB botting or did you also mix it up with other activities? (Archeologybuddy, questing, LFR and etc. etc)

Were they all in the same guild(s)?

Happen to know if you got many whispers from players?

I'm asking because I am noticing a big difference on accounts that have considerably less achievement points and I am wondering if it is just coincidence, mixing up activities, total achievement points or a combination of all.
