I'm sure that a lot of people can do better, but it was incredibly fun and I think added a new aspect to the game...economic domination.
My friend and I have several accounts with all the professions maxed out between the characters. I got some cheap account online and fired up the GB using a guild bank as a mediator between things we didn't want banned and things we didn't care about. The GB character had max mining and max herbalism and was a DK (increased mount speed). We used the auto mail feature to mail the items to a Guild Bank alt in Dalaran. We took off all the epics from the character and used simply gray items to reduce the cost of repairs, but still kept a good weapon. We used regular 20 slot bags not the Herbalism and Mining specific bags because we had an issue with trying to get the program to use the mail feature. We used the sholazar pre-configured route.
We found that the sheer mass of resources gathered created an overflow on the market and we needed to come up with alternatives to selling raw resources. We put up about 15 stacks of saronite a day, 15 adder's tongue, and 10 stacks of everything else. We found that frost lotus and titanium sold very quickly and were a tremendous source of gold. Taking this into account we used a separate account to smelt all the saronite into bars and then an alchemist to transmute them all into titanium. The alchemist was a transmute specialist so we occasionally got procs. We sold them in stacks of 3 because of the titansteel mats and made titansteel bars (buying CD's for like 20g) with all the eternals we got as well. We did not make darkmoon faire cards, we found it to be a loss in the conversion. We DID make flasks, but usually only when the frost ootus was down to 40g each. When it was up to 70g each we sold the lotus.
The account eventually got banned, but the rest of our accounts were untouched. The reason the account got banned had nothing to do with gatherbuddy. Blizzard gets suspicious when you have someone elses account and they try to get it back, then you call in and try to get it back, then they call in and yeah...anyway, we ran that bot for a month and 2 weeks of that 22hours a day, never banned and it worked perfectly. Gatherbuddy is amazing and they just keep adding features.
Thanks GatherBuddy, I bought every purchasable mount in the game, powerleveled engineering, bought some ilvl264 BoE's for me and my friend, the battered hilt and if I never run the bot again I will never have to do dailies for repairs (but of course I will run it again, this time on my own separate account).
