1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? Both

2)If so, when was the last time?: Friday

3)What profile were you using?: Tony's uldum and Twilight

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Default all classes

5)What plugins are you using?: none

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 10-13

7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 200-400(depends which server)

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no

9)Was your account involved in gold selling? no vanilla accounts every time

10)EU or US realm? US


It seems to me that all my accounts that put more then 200+ auctions got banned its not the bot itself cause my lvler's didnt get touched. just the majority of my farmers, the blizz email's where all the same 'abuse of the economy'.
 
200-400 auctions is almost as a bad as emailing Blizzard asking for a ban imho.
 
and now i find out that any transaction since tuesday that anyone i have know has been banned(lucky they all long time players so they managed to get their accounts back). anyone have any ideas about maybe a server side rework on how they are tracing the transactions? they where done via my personal raiding guilds (lvl20) guild bank and have been going fine for months then come tuesday(patch night) everything went down the shiter, not to mention my other servers are being hit aswell and it doesnt seem to be just me i went for a look into uldum and twilight and there isnt even half the amount of people there that used to be.(btw been on holi's for 3 days hence y im only just finding all this out)
 
there was a banwave related to using Archeology bot that happened while you were away, maybe you got caught up in that.

Just to put that statement into context, it affected Pirox's Archeology bot, not HB. HB users have been and continue to be fine. Injection FTW?! lol

In any event, Blizzard are certainly picking up their game. They are obviously making mistakes as they go too, as in the case of banning your guildies too. Needless to say it's getting harder and harder to grind for hours on end, every day, make a $ and get away with it.
 
in regards to the arch bot it was never used on these accounts. and i just went through my main accounts email(which i bot occasionally) and it got banned and unbanned while i was away. my guildies who bought 300k off me from our raiding guilds guild bank(i run 2 bots in our raiding guild to keep 5 private buyers in my guild going and a couple of others lol) got banned and disputed it which seemd to lead to my account getting automatically unbanned at the same time i couldnt believe it.

Im putting 200 auctions everyday for more than 1 year now and still no problems( Sometimes having 600-1k auctions at one time also happened). it does not matter that much i guess it is still more random
 
`Was that 200-400 auctions per account or for the 12 accounts total?
 
I think the amount of auctions doesn't matter, i regularly buy stuff in bulk to sell it for a higher price which results in 600+ auctions.So you don't have to be a botter in order to have a lot of auctions.

this, especially when you're selling individual volatiles, in one night i'll get about 2 stacks of volatile life and i put all of them up as individual units, and i've been doing this for a while with no worries. Although it's still good to keep a cautious approach to things.
 
It's interesting you said your toons from twilight highlands were banned.. I had 3 accounts banned last week which were my miners, all in twilight highlands, my herb toons that are in hyjal were untouched.. interesting. I do put up over 200 auctions a day but I use one account for auction house toons.
 
Yes it does matter how many auctions you put up at once. If players see people posting 50-100 stacks of obsidium every day they will report you if Blizzard does not catch on first.
 
To Help the community could you tell us what security you had in place to hide your bots. Proxy's, Vpn's or VM's
 
damn what a big loss... if you think its the auctions that are doing it then make another vanilla to auction your items.
 
i've recently had 8 of my farmers locked, 5 got out with 72h suspension either for economy, either for botting or even "failure to secure my pc" as the email said.. i had them all in a guild with a bank alt and the auctioning alt which was on a different account (vanilla). that account had over 700 auctions easy, as it was auctioning all my servers. at first it was not banned, but a few days after my main farmers where hit, the auctioning account got perma for abuse of economy.
Blizzard is stepping up their game, we need to do the same:). I'm open to ideas
 
the amount of ah's dont really matter, however if you have never had more then 20 or so ah at a time, and then suddenly jump to 200+ thats kind of dumb.. before i botted, I would use the AH to make money, and buy and sell items, and at any given time i would have 400+ ah's up. Now i have 300+ per day of farmed materials, sometime far more then that. This goes for hours played as well, if an account is usually played for 4 hours a day, then suddenly goes up do 16+ thats kind of noticeable.

I remember people on the glider forums saying you'll get banned for having the mmoglider webpage open when you were playing...come on people, stop being so paranoid

Try selling glyphs...I would have 1000+ auctions all the time, canceling and reposting every 15 min or so...
 
atm i use pingbuster, i had vanilla accounts for trading gold however the 1 thing i think i messed up with was havin the ah toon and the farming toon on the same account. It's definatly not an ip bassed ban because i still have 4 farmers and 9 lvlers aswell as my main account and personal botting account(im a gm of a decent raiding guild and use my 2ndary account to help get the guild achieves :P and yes some of the officers know what i do and dont care cause they all buy off me anyways). It's not the end of me just a mere set back got a few of my lvlers about to hit famring status so blizzard can get fuked lol. The crap part about all of this is they all got banned for 'abuse of the economy' and everytime i send mail to try and get them restored they just say 'no we see u are using 3rd party software'. Which sucks hard but still ive made more profit then ive lost by a loooooooooooooooooong way.

Well where are you going to put your auction house toons? I had one account closed a few weeks back and it was the farmer account with my auction house toons, so I made a vanilla account just for auction houses, I invited all the toons, took out 2-3k for specialty bags then on the servers I was making new farmers I took out maybe another 1-2k for gear and mailed the gear to the new toons for future levels, and few hours later I got emailed telling me that vanilla account was involved in exploitative activities, and it got TWO more farmers banned.. so I just put my auction house toons back on a farmer account, I'd rather lose one farmer than having that bullshit happen again. I dont want to level an 85 just for auction house account either..
