***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of
the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified
exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold)
for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of
Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be
held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game
environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups
responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues
very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity
and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of
Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at
Blizzard Entertainment:Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of
Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and
including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website
https://us.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff
will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account
due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here:

Called them on the phone and they said that I should just keep appealing until they tell me to stop. Said there was nothing they could do over the phone.

I made 500k+ off of this license so I don't mind the ban really, seems like I was just caught up in this ban day like a bunch of other people.
Just going to wait a few days and plea my case in another appeal.

Sad, you seriously should lower the bot time per day, actually with such profiles you see like 30 bots in the MOP farming places flying everywhere and a lot of legit players do report them, actually understandable.

Sort of related question:

Is there any way to know if you have been reported before you get suspensions or closures?

Got the same ban on the same day. I logged into battle.net, submitted a ticket under "I think my account has been hacked". Gave them some lame story about my 13 year old daughter and how upset she was that she couldnt pvp with me, and how much she loved to farm for 6 hours a day! Three hours later i got the change your password email, account was back, and been botting ever since. Good luck, if you appeal.

This profile was a "premium" profile. From the time I used it I never saw anyone using the same path. There were other people in the area, but not on the same one. Like I said, I'm not worried about it.

was this your FIRST ban or suspension on this account? and was this a real full-price wow acct or used one or SoR?

I'm curious because they always overturn the first "economic exploitation)" ban if you send a ticket. maybe they've changed that policy

That means they had proof, my main(only) account has been banned twice and unbanned twice.

10-20 hours a day for herbing and mining is way to much, all they have to do is monitor your pathing. No reasonable player is going to fly and farm that much per day. Sorry for your luck

Yes this was my first.

I figured. Right before I was banned I ran 19 hours for 2500 nodes. I just don't understand why it wasn't a 3rd party software ban.

Exploit of the Economy is just their generic ban - sometimes if you appeal it and they then continue the ban, they'll throw the 3rd Party Software screed at you.
