Yeah I might change my dual striker to this build but is Dom really the best place to farm ? I wonder how this holds up in maps for clear speed wise
Nice debate guys.
I've been struggling a bit with my Arc Witch, only self-found items, but I would love to start farming Dom/Piety, but she seems too squeezy, so any decent build you could recommend for either Dom/Piety/Mapping, will RF handle Dom, without dying etc?
Not a debate just trying to help each other as a community! I didn't have much experience with my RF before it got banned. It had no problems in any area including most maps ( only tired up to 68, but couldn't do obvious ones such as blood magic, half regen or minus resistances) it died a couple of times on Dom and it was decently geared ( doranyis cepter(sp?) Carcas jack, pheonix etc etc. ) so maybe it was just my gearing that needed a bit more fine tuning.
Foxtacits arc build could work really well. Maybe not for Dom but for mapping etc. I'm a firm believer that you need to have at least 5ex worth of decent gear on a bot for success (I'm sure there is exceptions ) I'm talking clear speed and survival

Your best bet would be either a "blender" build aka dual striker or a WoE build as many people are suggesting here. I will be switching my duelist over shortly.

Do you have any links/guides to these build? I found tons but they all seemed pretty expensive with Soul Taker. When botting it should be cheap and efficient since you need to make it break even
well for your price CI is a no-go, it's way too costly to get a good CI build done these days unless most of your points go strictly into survivability which would gimp your discharge dmg quite a bit. for discharge i'd say you either want to use a bow (with barrage) or go cyclone. Passive Skill Tree something like that is what i'd go with, though it could likely be optimized better. you'd want a 5L+ Voll's protector using cyclone + discharge + CoC + Increased aoe/life leech (whichever you prefer) + conc effect (+crit dmg for 6L), use a rare dagger with as high of attack speed and crit chance as possible, everything else is just extra bonus. rings and amulet you'd want high crit chance rolls and the standard life/resists, rest of your gear can be w/e though you'll mostly want high armor rolls. just to give you an idea of how i'd personally build itDoes anyone have experience with a CoC Discharge build? It sounds like an interesting concept I'd like to try out, but idk what the best version would be for botting (ST, Cyclone, Dual/Double Strike; Health vs CI?), or if its efficient on a reasonable budget (say, 2-4ex). Also it does seem kinda squish. Not sure if it'd be able to facetank stuff endgame.

edit:
just a few extra thoughts after i started thinking about it some more, a voll's devotion amulet would be kinda nice to keep the rolling endurance charges so you'd be discharging both fire and lightning dmg. also it'd likely be expensive as hell but the ideal dagger would be spell dmg, spell dmg + mana hybrid, local crit chance, attack speed. last 2 affixes could be w/e as they wont directly impact the build aside from maybe a global crit multi roll but that'd be a 1 in a million dagger at that point
1) the necklace is not a requirement, it's a perk, standard CoDT setup would work too, and given it's built around the lightning dmg passive wise it's no huge loss not having the endurance charges. 2) because you're pure light focused and the build doesn't require/use any specific auras for dmg you could devote it all to def, in this case purity of lightning. hell realistically given how few auras you'd actually need you could prolly save points from the 2 aura clusters and put it into more hp. 3) those facts combined with half competent gear itemization it's not unrealistic to do, and you could actually pick up vaal pact because even post nerf with a LL gem linked to discharge and the rate it'd be going off you'd likely yoyo your health a lot but still break even and be just fine. Not viable at all. Voll's only drops in that map mod now in leagues and is only available in previous leagues, Reflect would RIP all the time, let alone the gear for it all... just stay away
assuming decent gear it's got an avg discharge dmg of ~10k/hit with a max of like 29k/hit, problem really just becomes how you itemize it. can control the dmg ouput just by not speccing into 1 or both of the extra power charges, figure each one contributes roughly 1700 avg dmg so if you find reflect to be too much you can pull a point out of one so you're able to regen (life steal) more between reflected hits. Thanks for the info; very helpful. I might just try it out for fun, but it sounds like its not the most efficient build out there now.

would i suggest running such a build in beyond? no. do i think it could be done in rampage/standard? quite easily. have i seen it work before? pre masters yes. given enough thought and planning you can run just about any build you can come up with in this game, just cant go full retard into it and expect results, and given how common CoC discharge was last ladder it's not unreasonable to think it's still viable. but if you want to pretend you know everything by all means continue on your way, he asked a question and i answered, nobody asked for a completely baseless interjection from the peanut gallery.
I just usually facebreaker lol, never had issues.*Update*
Been through a TON of accounts and bans etc etc. This has given me a great chance to hopefully slow down by bans and try a ton of bunch of builds
Firstly I gathered some currency up and tried the BoR + WoE build, Although the dps was a tad low ( 16kdps ) this build pretty much never died or chickened and plowed through dom. #1 for me.
#2 RF Marauder - Mix of Oro's & my own. This build does well for clearing most maps, not the greatest on dom and very slow leveling but once it is up there it does very well in clearing.
#3 Crit Split Arrow - Very good for clearing and hardly chickened, running dom isn't an option.
#4 CI Crit Reaver - Harder to gear / more expensive, does great decent vs dom.
#5 Fakener - I had to give this one a go, It is fun and does decent vs dom and clearing! but! for multiple bots.. I don't recommend this.
I am thinking about trying to use flame blast to level, maybe make a freezing pulse, SRS and Ice nova. Anyone have any experience with any of these 3 ?
