1-10 Revised Questing Profiles

Hello,

I'm currently undertaking a small project into refining Kick's 1-10 questing profiles so that they are as autonomous and bug-free as possible. Keep in mind though: My changes are actually incredibly minute compared to the amount of work that Kick has contributed to Buddy Wing. Please be sure to thank him for pioneering most of it.

So what kind of refinements are we talking about? I'm primarily focused on issues that halt Buddy Wing for any reason. If something in Kick's profile causes it to stop moving, my first attempt would be to make it functional again. If making it work is beyond what I can do in a profile, then I will add a UserDialog prompt that informs you that, at the very minimum, this issue is accounted for. That way you won't have to feel like you have to troubleshoot should something come up.

My second priority is to add all bind points. This shouldn't be too difficult to do.

On an even lower priority, I will add datacrons as well. I will really only add them if I am very familiar with their locations and that they do not require any extraordinary amount of navigation (jumping and whatnot).

I'm also open to suggestions on how I can improve these profiles further. Let me know!

I recommend using the AutoEquip plugin to ensure that you are wearing reasonably appropriate gear. It is an extremely outdated plugin but it will work for leveling purposes.

Quality Assurance:

To thoroughly test these profiles, I would have to run them at least 16 times (eight classes with light and dark sides) to ensure that everything works as intended. You're more than welcome to help out, but I cannot promise that I will test every single iteration.

If you would like to help out, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Use a character that you only intend to bot with!
  2. Use the profiles from start to finish. If you decide to use a profile for about fifteen minutes, then do some missions your own way, then use the profile again, it may not behave correctly.
  3. Report any stoppages while running a profile. Logs are nice, but I prefer you telling me: where you are, what mission it's on, what it's doing, and what it's supposed to be doing.
  4. Please allow the bot to do as much as it can before intervening (or until prompted). For the profiles to be autonomous, we need to identify the areas where the bot has trouble in so we can address them.

General

Shared Missions

Captured Padawans - Free Captured Padawans: Buddy Wing now conducts this before its bonus mission, The Flesh Raider Menace, as it'll most likely be completed while doing the main mission anyway.

Lost Pilgrim - Return to Tazonthe Ghon: No longer halts at this step, now accepts Resolve Stim if Consular or Might Stim if Knight

Lovers and Secrets - Return to Master Silvarte: Now reports to Master Silvarte as intended, no longer halts on this step.

Knight-only Missions

Enemy Force - Plant a Device in Sector 03: Now prompts you to do this step manually. There is a broken ramp that Buddy Wing cannot navigate to.

Dark Temptations - Speak to Ranna Tao'Ven: Added a WaitTimer after conversations (this will keep the profile in check)

Dark Temptations - Speak to T7: Changed T7-01 to T7-O1 (zero to letter O), no longer halts on this step

Weapon of the Jedi - (Steps 3 to 6): Needs more testing. Might need to UserDialog this because we have to first attack Bengel Morr to 1% then talk to him. His position may fluctuate significantly depending on how the fight goes.

Consular-only Missions

The Forge - Slay the Dark Beast: Added a prompt telling to do this manually. Very difficult elite.

The Forge - Talk to Nalen Raloch: Now prompts you before talking to Nalen Raloch. He turns friendly at 1% so you have to bring him down manually.

Pending Bugs

High-Tech Savages - Recover a Key from a Flesh Raider Warmaster: Seemed to have halted, could not find cause yet

Scars of the Dark Side (Bonus): Stuck grinding, might need restart

(Surprise! Hutta is actually pretty solid with some minor exceptions; see "Pending Fixes" below)

Shared Missions

Industrial Raiders - Open Zeven's Holding Cell: Due to an issue with the auto-elevator, Buddy Wing now prompts you to do this manually. Go down the auto-elevator, activate the console, go back up, then press OK.

Bounty-Hunter-Only Missions

Additional Bounties Available (Bonus) - Defeat Bashrar the Smuggler: Added an extra MoveTo before going to Bashrar the Smuggler (bot would occasionally get stuck on the side of the ramp).

Pending Fixes

Interact commands, for some reason, do not work in Hutta. This means no bind points or datacron attempts. Tested with a profile containing only Interact commands on bind points without success (Nemro's Bazaar, Evocii Swamp, Chemical Marsh).

CompleteQuest on Big Chief: Huttsbane Reward (it didn't CompleteQuest on first run, will try again later).

Industrial Raiders - Speak to Rand: Bot may (sometimes) walk into an area that is not reachable by mesh (will find coordinates from that area and avoid it in the future)

Leave No Trace (Bonus) - Disable Fa'athra Security Cameras: Halts only seem to arise when some security cameras have been used and are on cooldown. More testing to follow!

General

Buddy Wing will now activate bind points.

Buddy Wing will now interact with the Endurance, Willpower, and Red Matrix Shard datacrons while conducting missions that are near them.

Shared Missions

Dark Science - Return to Lord Renning: UseRange decreased to 0.2 from 0.5 (no longer causes Out of Range error).

Jailbreak - Speak to Jedi Quorian Dorjis: UseRange decreased to 0.3 from 0.5.

Jailbreak - Retrieve Dorjis's Equipment: Now uses UseObject (use until task complete) instead of Interact (one-time best effort), new coordinates, additional WaitTimer after cutscene, and no longer halts profile while at this step.

Grave Robbing - Take the Remains to Naman Fal: Buddy Wing will now prompt you to complete the step on your own. "Buddy Wing has issues using the auto elevator. Get to the top floor, talk to Naman Fal, then come back down the elevator and press OK."

The Blood Legacy - Collect a Skull from the Altar of Bones: There are meshing issues within the instance of this mission that have a high probability of causing Buddy Wing to halt. There are now a series of manually-placed coordinates that ignore mesh and will attempt to clear out the skyracks in the sides of the room before retrieving a skull.

The Blood Legacy - (Bonus Mission) Ritual Legacy: Buddy Wing will no longer actively seek to complete this mission. See above.

Inquisitor-only Missions

A Little Knowledge - Retrieve the Ancient Holocron: Updated the existing prompt to be more descriptive; There is a cutscene with the monument that explicitly requires you to press [Shoot Lightning at it] in order to advance to the next step. Unfortunately, we cannot tell Buddy Wing which specific choices to make while AutoSkip is enabled. Stop the profile, initiate the cutscene and press 2 on your keyboard. Once it is over, restart the profile.

A Map for the Future - Speak to the Dashade: Buddy Wing will now prompt you right before triggering the cutscene. You must complete the next step, Defeat the Dashade, on your own. Buddy Wing cannot handle scenarios where mobs turn friendly when they reach 1% health.

Warrior-only Missions

A New Master - Kill Tremel: Buddy Wing will now prompt you to complete this task on your own. Buddy Wing cannot handle scenarios where they must attack a mob to 1%, then initiate another cutscene with said mob.
 
damn i hate being colorblind, cause i can't see what's tested/not tested/not complete :D, but christ do i love you Metrienne, really doing a shitload for the small community that is BW :D
 
Well, you definitely shouldn't be penalized for being colorblind. So it's now a table.
 
Metrienne, thanks so much for all your hard work - BW keeps getting better and better! Walter is working on a whole set of new routines and you keep smashing out the profiles....you guys clearly rock...thanks so much! Wish I could contribute somehow...sadly with my family life not possible...

I'd be willing to help provide you with logs for all advanced classes (I'm running one of each advanced class on both sides, all light side options).
 
Also running one Empire Dark Side, so I can test what you have up + get the dark side achievements and this Inquisitor is cruising through no problem. It was entirely dead when I ran an Inquisitor Light Side via the original Kicks a couple days ago. Kick's were obviously working before, thing SWTOR just messed around with stuff and so things may have hit a kink somewhere you ironed out.
 
Hi, all. I noticed the 1-10 Empire on Hutta from both "updated" Metrienne and CataclysmX's work are not working for new bounty hunters and operative. Correct me if I am wrong tho, i am new to BW and the game. The problem I have is the character will quickly switch between enemy targets yet does not attack. Happens both on the new defaultcombat and the Unpure rotation.

Part the bot is trying to reach is not meshed. So complete that quest manually then run profile again.
