I assume this was because I used a common profile (I did set it to randomize hotspots) and was greedy with the amount of time I had it running in those two days. I made close to 20k g the first day and had another ~250 stacks of ore or maybe more by the time I woke up at 6 am to discover I had been banned (I went to bed at 2 am, so it was running ~3 hours unsupervised). I have an extensive history of botting, dating back to the Glider beta (my original GM was one of the guys who wrote glider so he gave me it free) as well as Pyrox. I have almost exclusively used bots since WOTLK just to do bgs, and had run honorbuddy hard within the past month running bgs, lvling the lock from 60-90 in bgs, and a warrior from 80-90.
Low and behold, I get the perma-ban email within 48 hours of starting gatherbuddy. I got them to reduce it to 72 hour suspension with an appeal (they just sent standard "Notice of License termination" email the first time, and "Final Warning Notice, 72 hour suspension" email after the appeal. It might be of note to point out that in both emails they were adamant that I was using "third party programs" and "bots."
